Today was a self-care day (mental and physical). Grabbed a vegan pumpkin spice latte from Lyric Cafe and Tearoom between appointments. #SelfCare

Lunch with a view! I was a tad spontaneous and went on a high peaks hike with a new friend. Am I sore? Yes. Tired? Exhausted. Totally worth it though. Gorgeous views and a beautiful trail. #aspiring46er #hiking #ADK

Spent Saturday with some of the most wonderful people I know welcoming autumn with offerings, song, poetry, and feasting. #druidry

It’s officially autumn: we went to the Burrville Cider Mill! I wish they had dairy-free donuts, but I’m always thrilled for a delicious apple cider slushy! #Autumn

While also celebrating the Autumn equinox, I started my annual rereading of “The Lord of the Rings.” This is my comfort read. 🍁 🍎 🥔

A moment in time. A transition. One second, the tree frogs sing summer out. The clock ticks, and they welcome autumn. We mark the hour, the minute, yet the shift is truly gradual.

Picked up this cute tray for my tea bags. A wee treat for myself this Equinox eve. Also in the photo are some peppers a friend gave me! My garden was not very productive this year, but community supports one another. I pray I can return the favor one day. 🙏 #AutumnEquinox #Druidry #Pagan

Years ago, I attended my first Pagan Pride and watched, with wonder and joy, as a troop of women belly danced. They were of many ages and body types. They moved with grace and strength. I wanted to be like them. Today I danced with this same troop, Adi Shakti, at Pagan Pride.

I can finally say I’ve read “Walden.” I felt I had to read this classic by Thoreau after finishing “Still Waters: the Secret Life of Lakes” by scientist Curt Stager. It gave me a modern appreciation of Thoreau’s insights, so I decided to commit to reading the full piece. Glad I did! #books

Ok, I know what I said yesterday about accepting that I wasn’t on a mountain, yada yada yada... But that was before I learned the legendary Tim Curry passed away. Two amazing 80 year olds in a row... I couldn’t shake a couple of thoughts. 1) My mother is almost 80. 2) I’m halfway to 80.

I just finished a PBS documentary called “Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World.” I’m so glad I set aside time to watch. Her poetry inspires me, and it felt especially poignant to listen to her poem, “When Death Comes” the day we learned of Dolly’s passing.

What a lovely day! I met up with a dear friend and her daughter for a nature walk. Then later, I went to a witchy craft night at @_the_silver_cauldron. We made crepe paper mushrooms. It was so much fun! I need to attend more of their workshops. All in all, a wonderful day with kindred spirits!

Ron and I completed the Saranac 6er challenge! Today we took a trip to Saranac Lake for the last and shortest of the bunch, Baker. The views at the top were beautiful! Several high peaks waiting in the distance and old 6er friends nearby. I’ll blog more about it soon. #Saranac6 #Hiking #adirondacks

Happy Lúnasa! I missed my grovemates today, but I had a lovely time with my family. We harvested veggies, herbs, and flowers from our garden, then we picked blueberries at a local vineyard. Kiddo helped me decorate the family altar and make dessert.
