A port of my Shadertoy version of a-ha's Take On Me. Cehck it out for more details about how the song was recreated :) https://www.shadertoy.com/view/fXc3RB

Happy 303 Day

Using a shared filter for compression. Slightly different with each playback.

melodic flows of variable tone and loudness

Definitely an instrument

Tiny tracker with a cello instrument. Melody is not too great.

Simple bell synth

Modified to use a cello-like instrument Original : Wizards & Warriors (main menu)" by romaindurand (https://dittytoy.net/ditty/3066954356) Composed by David Wise for the NES game Wizards & Warriors. Transcription available here : https://flat.io/score/5672cc291cb476135c39c567-wizards-warriors

Modal synthesizer, using 8 bandpass filters

You may want to define a more complicated synthesizer that has its own state. This can be done by passing not a lambda function but a class to synth.def(). The process method will be called at a ditty.dt time interval and should return a value -1 to 1 (mono) or an array [l, r] (both -1 to 1) for stereo. https://dittytoy.net/syntax#synthesizers #dittytoy #tutorial

This is a conversion of a Amstrad CPC cover of a SID tune (https://deepsid.chordian.net/?file=/MUSICIANS/W/Widding_Roy_Johan/Kalle_Kloakk_end.sid) made by Crockett of Megastyle. I converted my Soundtrakker cover using some Python so that it can be played using @srtuss's mod player for Dittytoy. Quite the journey 😅 Made from a fork: dance_to_the_rhythm.mod

The robot voice from the Beastie Boys track of the same name. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qORYO0atB6g

The sound of connecting to the Internet before the 2000s. Based on: https://www.windytan.com/2012/11/the-sound-of-dialup-pictured.html

sound waves of varying pitch and amplitude

I was fascinated by the pad sound in @srtuss's fork of @athibaul's Breakbeat experiment, so I forked it, reduced it to the bare pad sound, renamed the variables to better understand what's going on and finally added some sliders for fun :)

A melody played by a simple piano synthesizer with a reverb and some other stuff.

The song that inspired every electronic musician - now faster.

I began experimenting with Dittytoy and especially FM synthesis and ended up with this rendition of my Amstrad CPC cover of Zetrix/Arcane's Amiga cover (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vy6g42ezbY) of The Last Hero by Future Freak (https://csdb.dk/sid/?id=12652)
