I work on Halloween but I always try to do some sort of dress up thing. This year I've considered a shark onesie, just wearing my "pretend I'm a shark" shirt, and an OG scene/emo kid. I have finally decided and just ordered the VERY few things I need. And it's for none of those 😊

post, letting them know it is at the shelter, we cannot respond to people on social media. The shelter doesn't have any accounts anywhere, we can't share our own info aside from our website, we can't interact and post promo for animals, etc etc. It gets very frustrating to not be able to publicly

Detailing this: 1, I work at a municipal shelter (local government). 2, like most of my coworkers, I belong to various FB groups for local animals. We use these groups to keep an eye on missing or found animals. 3, pretty much unless it's a very generic response, typically responding to a lost pet

It seems to me that many people develop these collections in response to something they lacked or are lacking. For example, someone who grew up too fast and felt cast off in childhood might collect stuffies in their adult life as a comfort item (yes, I'm calling myself out here).

We all have our own treasure hoard/s. It's not always a bad thing but can be if the collection becomes harmful in any way (financially, living in the past, causes pain to others). It's easy to collect but hard to parse through collections and know what needs to be let go so growth can occur.

Theory based on observation and random thoughts: Humans are inherently draconic creatures. Think about it, what thing(s) do you collect? How many people do you know that do, too? Not just material items, consider immaterial subjects as well, such as friends, love/rs, memories, knowledge, etc.
