Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 06/05/2026Platform Decay, Martha Wells' latest book in the Murderbot Diaries series, came out yesterday. The talented Kevin R. Free narrates the audiobook. It was fun. SecUnit continues to evolve. There's action, great futuristic tech is described, and SecUnit needs to rescue people on a huge space station 000
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 29/04/2026Within the 41 books of Discworld are sub-series. A favorite is the City Watch books. Guards! Guards! Men at Arms Feet of Clay Jingo The Fifth Elephant Night Watch Thud Snuff If you listen to audiobooks, a real treat is the recent Penguin production of Discworld books 220
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 26/04/2026I have been immersed in Terry Pratchett's Discworld books for months now. I try to read other books, and it's DNF after DNF because now I have higher expectations. Also, the Watch sub-series within Discworld has become a comfort listen. The most recent production of the audiobooks is brilliant. 000
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 25/04/2026Xavier Becerra is a Corporate Democrat who will represent corporate and special interests. He banked money from previous campaigns and rolled it into this one DNC is pushing corporate Becerra after losing Swalwell I prefer Katie Porter, who is running on individual donations and is not bought. 010
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 20/04/2026If you don't like to read, try audiobooks. Audiobooks can cost less than paperbacks these days if you do the pay-for-one-year-subscription-all-at-once method. That brings the price per book down to about $9.50 - which is about half the price of some paperback books these days. 010
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 31/03/2026Medicare for All - no need to invent the wheel - no need to create something new that current health "insurance" companies will try to horn in on. 010
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 28/03/2026I didn't know that - maybe because of my age at that time and lack of interest in politics and news . . . Gives hope of a reckoning. 061
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 28/03/2026Trump is not a "dog person." I'm fine with that. He seems to be a hateful, vindictive person who has physically abused children who didn't want to have sex with him, per documents in the Epstein Files. Who would want him to be around a dog when he's angry? 110
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 25/03/2026The Discworld books by Terry Pratchett are a favorite. If you listen to audiobooks, the latest production by Penguin is a great experience. The City Watch sub-series within the entire Discworld book series is a favorite re-read for me. (Re-listen) 1261

Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 26/02/2026That's the CORPORATE Democrats. Progressive Democrats include Universal/Singlepayer healthcare or Medicare-for-All. Plus more. That list above is Republican Light. 481
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 20/02/2026He wasn't *for* single payer healthcare (Medicare for All) He suggested a limp Medicare for All WHO WANT IT. AOC was for M4A. How about electing a leader that won't help corporate profits at our expense? Other countries have healthcare - it's a human right - spend our taxes on us. 000
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 20/02/2026I'm uncertain about single payer healthcare. It seemed that the DNC did all it could to undermine Bernie Sanders, who drew huge crowds. Too many of the entrenched Democrats are beholden to corporations, including health insurance and pharmaceutical corporations. 000

Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 11/01/2026This is a screenshot for reference, Rep Ro Khanna shared what he found at the California City ICE detention facility: The ACLU is working to improve conditions at the same facility: Without oversight, there is no incentive to treat detainees fairly, to prvovide food, water, and stop sexual abuse. 000

Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 07/01/2026There was no indication that this was political - the story was about Miami and this part of the story was senior citizens, which of course explored healthcare, which then explored how Medicare fraud worked - showing how blatant the corruption was. I listened to the audiobook over a year ago. 031
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 07/01/2026This was described in Revenge of the Tipping Point. The author went to commercial buildings with small one person offices that were part of the fraud system. It was a fascinating part of the book and showed how it worked. 1287
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 05/01/2026Yes - PB's version is "Medicare for All that want it" *Pretending* he cares about healthcare, while still shilling for the current pillage system of health "insurance." Vice versa version instead: Put everyone on Medicare (Medicare for All) and "Health Insurance for All that want it" 133
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 30/12/2025We could have had healthcare for all, not health "insurance" for some. Between the DNC and Nancy Pelosi and other money-oriented politicians, we've been in some double-Republican hell. Right-wing hell and corporate/centrist/wall street grifting toadies calling themselves Democrats. 160
Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 29/12/2025 An article a couple? months ago said that the foot-and-mouth disease in Argentina was over. I thought the same article said that higher end meat cuts would be imported. But an internet search supported the first, and disputed the second: 000

Diana tc @ditic.bsky.social · 11/12/2025Maybe politicians shouldn't take money from lobbyists for health "insurance" companies and represent their constituents instead. How about work to get us healthcare like the rest of industrialized nations on this planet have? 100
