Something similar happened in Pennsylvania where State Senator Marty Flynn attended a Pride flag raising ceremony and posted a Pride message on Facebook…after voting to ban trans kids from sports.

I’m not going to link the article because, like…why would I, but this was in a Fox News article published two days ago. Eileen Gu won the gold medal in the halfpipe. She also won two silvers.

A snippet of a Fox News article about Eileen Gu and Alysa Liu that states “But in 2026, Liu is the only one with any gold after helping the U.S. win team gold and her historic individual gold on Thursday. Maybe if Gu represented USA she would have won gold.” Gu won a gold medal within hours of the publishing of this article.

Conservatives tried to shame my girl and actually made her look totally based.

Conservative commentator Eyal Yakoby posting screen shots from previous Natasha Cloud tweets that say “Your a Zionist movement. Makes sense. Zionism is no different than the KKK. 75 years go white settlers seized their land. Raped their women. Murdered their men and children very similarly to what we did here in America.” In front of an opaque photo of Natasha Cloud.

My #WNBA ballot for today. Some changes. I took Phee out because she’s a lock to make the team at this point. I also couldn’t decide between Thomas and Sabally, so I ultimately took Hamby off my squad to make room for both of them. Surprised with how little love Diggins has been getting so far.

My #WNBA All-Star ballot for today. I hated dropping Skylar, but I wanted to at least give Marina a vote. She may not stay on my ballot, but she gets my “ok you’re a badass” ballot. Also, I’ve left Angel off for too long.

Today’s ballot. My top three guards are pretty much locked in at this point, barring some big changes. If I’m being honest, the fourth is Caitlin Clark, but she’ll have no problem making the team, which is why I’m using my vote for someone else. #WNBA

My #WNBA vote for today. Not a single game has been played since the last ballot I cast and yet there are already changes.

WNBA all star voting that includes Napheesa Collier, Satou Sabally, Breanna Stewart, Dearica Hamby, Nneka Ogwumike, Kayla Thornton, Kelsey Plum, Allisha Gray, Sabrina Ionescu, and Skylar Diggins.

Senate Bill 9, which is a ban on trans women in sports in Pennsylvania, was passed. One of the yes votes was from Democrat Marty Flynn of Lackawanna County, my former state senator and someone I have worked closely with for years. Here is my statement.

Thanks, Marty Flynn. Thanks for having all the time in the world to pick petty fights with the mayor of Scranton while refusing to pick up a microphone and speaking out against the rise of fascism. Thanks for surrounding yourself with old school yes men who are just as conservative as the Republicans you’re supposed to be fighting. Thanks for backing down to extremist transphobes the moment you had the opportunity to actually stand up and do something about it. Oh, and thank you to the Lackawanna Democratic Committee, former governor Tom Wolf, and all the establishment folks who pushed REALLY HARD to get Marty in the state senate just so he can spit in the face of marginalized communities. I have seen Marty go to events. He has shook the hands of trans folks before. He shook the hands of the very people who’s graves he would step on.

Fuck Marty Flynn

And fuck NEPA politics.

I resign as a member of the Lackawanna Democratic Committee.
