day 3: 3.0 / return perhaps my most obscure favorite woman is eustacia huntboard. when playing through heavensward the first time, i would say hi to her out loud every time i passed into the forgotten knight and she became something of an emotional support figure #xivwomenweek

#xivwomenweek - an idea I had all the way back when playing the heavensward patches, which I finally cleaned up.

Ysayle and the Word of the Mother are floating in front of the giant crystal, shown in silhouette (Ysayle in blue, Minfilia in pink) and then again as close crops of their faces with details drawn in. Ysayle looks excited, Minfilia looks pained.
Word of the Mother: Oh, child of Hydaelyn… How I have let you down. I wish I could have met you.
Ysayle: Mothercrystal… You are meeting me now!
A hazy sepia toned panel of Minfilia in the solar, cut off above her eyes, is inset.
Minfilia: I meant… as myself.

i dont want to intrude but theyre on a public street... i guess i'll have to go in the back alley and get eaten by wharf rats... carry on ladies #minvaya #drkgpose

a gpose of A'vaya (she/he) and Minfilia (she/her) sharing an intimate moment under a streetlight in Ul'dah. A'vaya leans into his wife's space, his hand holding her thigh and their chests pressed together. Minfilia wraps her arm around his shoulders in return, gently placing a hand on the back of his neck. Their faces are close, seeming as though they're about to kiss or are having a *very* private conversation.

Another angle, showing that Minfilia is smiling in the moment. Her previously unseen hand is resting on A'vaya's hip, and he's brushing her bangs out of her face with a delicate hand. From this angle it is also clear that Minfilia is partially sitting on a ledge so she can be at a similar height as A'vaya instead of towering over him.

girl with an aetheryte earring #minfilia #drkart

a painting of Minfilia (she/her) that mimics Johannes Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring." Minfilia, the girl in question here, wears an aetheryte earring while looking at the viewer with a neutral expression. The painting is spontaneously bright, featuring random pops of colored lines over what is otherwise "normal" colors.

IT'S NOT FAIR 'CAUSE I KNEW YOU LIKE THE BACK OF MY HANDS #ffxivgpose | #gpose | #thenaverse

screenshot of alisaie, a teenage elezen girl with white hair, wearing a red varsity jacket and posing with a pair of blue cheerleader pompoms against the background of a bright blue sky. her stance is somewhat aggressive, with one pompom thrusting out of frame toward the viewer, and she has an annoyed expression. her mouth is open like she might be either yelling or cheering. inscribed within the pupils of her eyes are two tiny white hearts. behind her is l'thena, a miqo'te woman with short green hair, wearing black streetwear with a cropped jacket. she appears to be sitting cutely in midair, with one hand rubbing her cheek and a bashful, somewhat awkward smile. hovering around her like cherubs are two smiling wind-up minions of g'raha tia and wuk lamat, with small angel wings. they look to be reaching out to l'thena with little bursts of hearts (matching the ones in alisaie's eyes) flying out from their hands. bright pink and aqua confetti falls all around the picture.

sure sure, even if it was just "what a smart idea, we SHOULD pursue such a project"- they put him IN CHARGE of it? like yeah the twins were in college by 11 but THEY weren't being given research grants to open a magic nuclear fusion lab or whatever lmaooo

010

ghost 👻 @dissonancies.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

and yeah we DO know his proposal was funded and supported directly by the crown, and this IS magic JRPG land where real genius prodigies can exist, but still. eleven is a little...like...eleven.......... holding out for a calyx short story with All the deets pls squeenix we've been good pls pls pls

"Sphene

I met him only once, before the Storm Surge began. I was attending my father, who was then the reigning king of Alexandria.

Calyx could not have been more than ten years of age, and required constant treatment for his debilitating illness. Yet still he published theories so highly regarded that even the royal family was aware of his achievements.

“Life should not be lost to the injustice of death”... Even now I can hear the single-minded will behind his words.

So it was that when war came to our kingdom, my father was quick to commit his unwavering support to this somber youth and his proposals for Preservation."

ghost 👻 @dissonancies.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

the thing that really threw me off was the implication that it took them over a decade after sphene to figure out the endless, which would put him mid-late 20s???? just doesn't feel right! i think you're right, he MUST have done the process to himself while it was still somewhat experimental

110

ghost 👻 @dissonancies.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

[meteor voice] nearly threw hands with a 13 year old i think that all checks out, yeah! i also agree that sphene has to be older based on the vibe of how she talks about him. if we assume "several years" is about 2 and "a few years" on the throne is like, 3/4? then yeah, 16 seems about right

110

ghost 👻 @dissonancies.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

ohhh so it must just be scaled up or down, noted noted

010

ghost 👻 @dissonancies.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

(sorry for yapping i know this was only tangentially related to your post but i've been going nuts trying to figure this out)

010

ghost 👻 @dissonancies.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

(i've kinda assumed she's 19-20 like wuk lamat?) calyx should've still been alive when she 'died' bc they hadn't yet figured out the endless at that point + the short story also tacks on another 11 years but implies they STILL haven't solved it yet so that means...i don't know what that means LMAO

210

ghost 👻 @dissonancies.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

he was 11 when he founded preservation, when sphene's parents were still alive. we don't know how old SHE was at the time, but it's said her parents died "several years later", and she was 15 when that happens. she's clearly not 15 now but we only get the phrase "a few years" once about her reign-

110

ghost 👻 @dissonancies.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

ok but wait this is a thing i've actually been thinking about a ton lately and you're the foremost calyx trufan so i'm curious: how old DO we think calyx was? like they're using a youth/teen model, but not a literal child one- he's roughly the same height as the twins, who are 16-17 (cont'd)
