you can always tell when something disney did is unpopular when after people raving about how its the best thing ever for a month, everyone goes radio silent. I completely forgot DCL had a second private island until now.

If the Matterhorn gets a rebuild (which let's be real, it very well may), I have a feeling the size of the mountain won't change at all, but the ride track will probably be entirely redone and stretched into the submarine lagoon area (similar to Everest). The mountain is too baked into Disneyland.

remember that era of WDW where you had to know what you wanted to eat and when you wanted to eat 6 months before you were even there? there's a lot of things that suck about the parks now, but the 60 day window is a massive improvement.

was i the only one who felt like toy story 5 was overwhelming to watch? i enjoyed the movie, but there were so many characters and plot points I felt like it was so jumpy and moving too fast. I guess the movie was made for Gen Alpha's lack of attention span.

Disney/Pixar havent made a good original IP movie since 2021 with Luca / Encanto respectfully, and even those movies could be better.

what is up with this trend of work hours being 10-6:30. it seems like majority of the jobs im applying to have those. "you can sleep in" yeah but i cant do anything after work except eat dinner and stare at the wall with a 6:30 end time. I will forever miss when I worked a 7:30-4. That was peak.

i don't live in Europe so I don't know the trends there, but in the US 80s/90s nostalgia and whimsy are really trending and becoming popular with younger generations, and its crazy to me that disney is just ripping it all out to join the 2018 millenial gray trend.

done are the days of me marathoning Everest. :( this was the most efficient single rider line in the resort, but the evens/odds method works so well.

"i want galaxys edge to abandon the timeline. every movie should be represented" "how dare toy story land bring one of bonnie's toys to the land. dont they know this is ANDYs backyard?" (as if Bonnies toys dont already exist in multiple areas of the land already)

the movie being anti screen and disney being like "lets put a giant screen in toy story land to entertain the kids rather than riding our rides" is so funny.

adobe premiere easily the best editing software but at the same time, its really not worth the $264 a year as an amateur filmmaker. I wish it was more accessible.

People dont realize this list is an average of like 500 peoples opinions. Falcons Flight is so low because im sure more than half the voters have never been on it. Fury 325 & Velocicoaster are some of the most accessible thrill coasters. Fury by thrill level, Velocicoaster by location.

im going to be honest, i hate a book report style ride and im mad that disney is going in this direction again with Encanto & Coco. Radiator Springs Racers is still gold standard storytelling for me. A new story that recreates scenes and moments from the movies.

rumor has it they're doing a phased opening- Indy / Carousel in '27, & Encanto in '28. i understand the push to have as much capacity as possible, esp in DAK, but I'm tired of phased openings. Its like releasing a movie with half of still needing to be edited. www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/...

SO GLAD my favorite festival is extended. I wonder if the colder than usual winter projection & last year's record breaking freeze was the legitimate reason for this. It seems like Disney doesn't like FARTS as much bc its more expensive than Flower & Garden. www.wdwinfo.com/walt-disney-...

i went to the disney store popup in NJ today, after opening 48 hours ago. there was a line out the door. It was pretty much shoulder to shoulder inside. a lot of the merch was sold out of many sizes and it looked like the shop was on skeleton merch. WHY DID THE DISNEY STORES EVER GO AWAY?

this is going to be a very northeast theme park post, but i have a feeling this is the last year we are going to see Hershey & Great Adventure keep daily ops through Labor Day. They are at below skeleton crew levels of staffing & low attendance this week

"Universal has to stop closing shows" Babes, when I saw Bourne Stuntacular last summer it was maybe 1/3 full. I love theme park entertainment, I've worked in it and currently work in theatre! I don't want to see them go! But besides the shows at Epic, nobody is seeing shows at Universal.

Considering its proximity to Simpsons, whos contract is rumored to end in 2028, i have a feeling this will sit empty for a few years until that project is up and running. I saw the show once and never had an urge to go back, so I'm pretty indifferent about this. wdwnt.com/2026/09/brea...

people who continue to be pro-DCA avatar I think forget that we're not getting an the land initially promised. The avatar project that existed in this blue sky art is NOT the avatar land we're getting. We're not getting anything more than an elaborate facade for the ride. Maybe a shop or restaurant

the reception to Madame Leota's Swinging Wake makes me think even when DCA is able to support parades again, Frightfully Fun is done. They would never give up the opportunity to run something for cheaper if it has similar guest reception to the former, more expensive option.

I have a feeling we should expect our Maleficent coaster to have a similar vibe / thrill level to Tokyo Space Mountain. Not expecting Velocicoaster or Rock n Roller Coaster. But it will still be intense with an awesome layout. Plus dodging all that rockwork. Will be awesome. youtu.be/YVpqYKg1tfs

Since Paint the Night was built, it's only run for roughly 1/4 of disneyland's operating days. 1119 / 3702 specifically. I feel like if they want this parade to gain a MSEP type nostalgia, it needs to run it more frequently. I've only experienced PTN twice in my 7 this past decade.

As a Great Adventure local, I would LOVE either of these coasters to join our lineup. They'd fit very well with the recently redone Boardwalk area. I'm not expecting either to come, and frankly, other parks need them more than we do. But I can dream! Arieforce One in particular fits like a glove!

i do think its interesting how the inground lighting worked consistently at epcot for decades until this redesign. Even the lighting at Epic is still consistently working over a year later. I wonder what was different about this lighting that made it so unreliable. www.wdwinfo.com/news-stories...

it's so interesting how most of the popular IPs for a Tomorrowland redesign at Disneyland already have a home in DCA- Big Hero 6, Incredibles, Marvel. This leaves Wall-E, Stitch, Wreck it Ralph, and TRON as the only real IP that fit the land. And maybe Meet the Robinsons will get a restaurant.

the reason it feels like no company ever knows what they're doing is because when i was in college and took a business class the professor at the end of the semester told me I was the only one who got an A on the final project, and I had one of the highest grades in his class.

i can't believe this land isn't even going to have like a butterfly garden, or a snake reptile house by Indiana Jones. There's literally a small tamarins exhibit on Discover Island that could be relocated for the price of a mickey bar. it's not a budget issue, it's laziness from management.

swinging wake lowkey proves to me that anything US disney does will be shat on by specific people. this street party is SO paris coded its funny that suddenly people dont like the modern choreography and music. If Paris debuted this the same people would be raving about how its the best thing done.

the word on the street pre-oogie boogie bash was that Swinging Wake was introduced to cut down on the amount of performers & entertainment offerings. Now that we've seen the final product, I think we know that is false. Frightfully Fun only has 2 more floats AND only 10 more performers.

in todays edition of "too much free time at work today", may I present an ideal Coco retheme of Paradise Gardens. I think Coco deserves so much more than a boat ride in the corner, and I'd love to see that area of the park rethemed to a whole Coco plaza!

people do realize that the play pavilion was advertised as an upcoming attractions, with models, concept arts, or references until literally this year right? just because Avatar has a model at D23 doesn't mean it's going to be built as originally announced (if at all).

i was really expecting a lot more announcements last night for 2031 & 2032, but hopefully the reason we didn't get any is because disney is lowering the time announcement-open. Tomorrowland seemed to be hinted at a 2030 completion. Hopefully everything new will open before the end of the decade.

assuming new tomorrowland opens in 2030, avatar will probably be 2031. that means from announcement to completion, this ride will have taken over *8 years*. It was announced February 2023. why do they announce projects SO EARLY?
