I’m not planning on many upgrades for the ECG finale in 2027. The torso armour needs remaking because turns out some primers don’t like it even when it’s on a foam piece laying in a dry, dark shed for years after only being worn once 💀.

I really didn’t think I would still be cosplaying Brok after I wore him last in 2023(?). But 3 years later, I’m finally content with how the costume looks. I just needed that little push by entering him into a preliminary to make finally, completely finish him.

Absolutely flabbergasted, but thrilled and over the moon that I managed to place as the next-next Dutch contestant at the ECG (in 2027) with my Brok cosplay. This was entirely unexpected as I was aiming for another contest, but ECG has also been on my bucket list, so I’m happy all the same!

Today, I embossed the velvet and I’m working on thread marking all pattern pieces. I used TPU stamps and a heatpress to crush the velvet

So the day I sewed the trousers together I had drank some pre-workout, thinking I would go to the gym that morning. Plottwist: I didn’t go to the gym and I spend my day buzzing on caffeine jitters and forgetting to take any photos while sewing the trousers. I just need to add the eyelets now.

Here you can see how I made a hole in the back of the trousers to fit the tail through. It can be closed with a zipper for the human version
