Just came here to say I really enjoyed the UFO episode. I think I thought every point you raised and came to the same conclusions before, but just sort of forgot! Weirdly, the more I got into Buddhism, the less I thought about shunyata from that chaos magicky perspective of beliefs shaping reality.

I kind of hold everything in a suspended realm of "maybe" which is leaning toward "yes" because otherwise there would be no point entertaining the notion. As far as the phenomena being non-physical, non-alien, shapeshifting trickster stuff, that is too broad a brush for me. I think it's many things.

I've been being on my podcasts but I just got a chance to listen to this and...we don't believe in UFOs anymore?? And everyone was talking about Linda Moulton Howe in the past tense like she was dead or retired. Had to look it up. She's neither from what I can tell. This episode made me sad.

Seems unbelievable, but I have way more energy and focus without coffee. I love the taste of coffee, so I replaced it with brewing roasted chicory granules in a french press for 4 minutes. It tastes almost identical or better. But, I think once the addiction was gone, that flavor obsession was, too.

I do meditate and I know your gap technique! I realized I had symptoms that seemed like ADHD (but not) and anxiety. So, I quit coffee, cut way back on social media, and started meditating 3x a day. I think it quickly improved my brain. I'll never drink coffee or habitually doomscroll again.

2/2 in just a few years you went from feeling stuck and wanting to not really wanting to do any more of that for a while. Which exactly follows my own history. Please don't sink into 20 years of complacency now like I did. Btw, which form of meditation do you do? Focus on breath? Mantra? Liber MMM?

I found this episode so fascinating! I think this author really named his book the wrong title because searching it just turns up a bunch of "chameleon" results. That can't have helped sales. I had to type in his name to find the book on Amazon. And I never heard about the book before this podcast!

I thought of the codeword thing unfortunately only after they kept changing stuff for no reason so my JS didn't match my HTML and my PHP didn't match my js. LOCKDOWN-MODE is my codeword that means don't do that. They still do it, but I just ask after they give new code and they apologize and fix it.

I just vibe coded all night and accomplished way more than I would have reading WordPress's horrible documentation. This is like pair programming for people with no mentor and just a robot friend who fucks up a lot. I use a codeword to keep AI from changing classes/IDs/ working code for no reason.

Like this chicken stock I just used. It's dribbling out the side and I can't figure out if somehow that happened when I opened it yesterday or if it was just damaged when I bought it (because the other side was damaged). Though I rarely listen to hardcore or thrash and haven't much since I was a kid, I notice in times of stress some old songs with negative lyrics just pop into my head. They didn't even really strike me as negative as a kid, just raw and cool. I guess my subconscious filed them away for later. 🤣

Is it the new OS? I am always way behind on updating because Apple loves to make their hardware obsolete with OS updates. I'm still in their ecosystem since forever but after fonts changed and Adobe became rentals, less reason to stick with Apple overall. Main reason now = easy coding tools setup.

That was a good episode! I've used ChatGPT the same way (like a therapist or something). It helped me sort out some issues with my landlord extremely efficiently when nobody else would have had any decent feedback unless I paid them hundreds of dollars. I need to use Claude more.
