Was the guitar solo last time a bit much? That's ok, we've got a palette cleanser, a smooth and funky bass solo from Sam on our track Rabite Season! From our concert at the Gowanus Dredgers in NYC. #vgm #fusion #funk #bass #basssolosarecoolandfun #bobboyappreciation

Back in May, we played at the Gowanus Dredgers boat house after needing to move indoors due to weather conditions. It was definitely an unconventional performance space for a band like us, but it ended up sounding really cool in there! Here's us performing A Forest Interlude from that concert.

The process of a Discocactus arrangement is wildly varied between all of us; luckily for you, we love talking about it! Laura talks more about inspiration, structure, and what it was like to work with our collaborators on our newest track, Une Vie a T'aimer!

DiscoCactus @discocact.us · 21/08/2026

We heard from some VIP (Very Important Pfans) that there's more interest in some behind-the-scenes footage of our arrangements. Well, to kick that off, we have our arranger Laura and our resident low end expert Sam to talk about the inspiration for Alicia!

Cave Rave is one of our favorite pieces to play: our wonderful keyboardist and arranger Ben Wallace transformed a less-than-a-minute long cave theme from Skies of Arcadia and transformed it into a 9-minute prog rock masterpiece/nightmare. Here's a part of our performance of it at this year's VGMCon!
