Government issues warning as mandatory registration for some NDIS providers confirmed www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12...
Summary: The federal government has confirmed mandatory NDIS registration for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and digital platform providers will begin 1 July 2026. The move aims to lift quality, safety and accountability by requiring audits, reporting and worker screening checks. Currently most providers are unregistered. Supporters say it strengthens protections for participants, while critics warn it could increase red tape and reduce choice in the sector.
