DOOM '98 Imagined what if id Software released an additional entry in the Doom series in 1998, using a technological mix between id Tech 2 and GoldSrc engine. Going for the blend of fantastical and grounded, which would be in vein of Half-Life and System Shock 2.

Honestly same. I like the gameplay, but the story and atmosphere don't grip me much, and I quickly get bored when the novelty of the gameplay wears off a bit. But I still respect those games immensely.

I think I like the idea of Watch Dogs more than the actual game. Like in my head, it's a game about invasion of privacy and how everyone has some dirty little secrets. Ultimately, the game is not about that, but I still like it a lot.
