Dose weighting is now standard in cryo-EM, but it began as Direct Electron's "damage compensation" method, first presented at the 2013 3DEM GRC. This early work helped establish the exposure-weighting approaches still used in cryo-EM software today. ow.ly/1wsG50Z6sJ6

ICYMI: In a direct comparison on the same sample, Apollo outperformed both K3 and DE-64—achieving 2.24 Å resolution vs ~2.9 Å for K3. Higher detail per particle and better DQE make Apollo the clear leader in cryo-EM detector performance. Read more: ow.ly/aF7950XgCWZ
