It badly wants to be a play, not a film. Six Board Game Characters in Search of a Stage.

That's just a standard feature of any progressive income tax. You're the one who specifically distinguished income taxes from asset taxes because they're on money you don't have yet. You can't turn around and say that the higher tiers of income tax count as asset taxes despite still being on income.

Surely the point of a wealth tax is that it's on assets, not on income? You say yourself that it's an income tax, so it's an income tax.

Listening to this now, and I just want everyone to know that Steely Dan is 100% named after pegging. Naked Lunch is unambiguous about where Steely Dan goes and what it does there.

Considering becoming one of those 'put the CHRIST back in CHRISTMAS' people except it's 'put the ALLAH back in HAPPY HALLOWEEN'. Without Allah, it's just 'pew, phoney!' He's the reason for the season (created jinn, who are responsible for much supernatural trickery)! 1/2

A panel from Kate Beaton's Hark, A Vagrant comic 'Nemesis'. A pirate captain lies in bed, staring (consumed with vengeance) at a portrait of his nemesis, a naval officer, which rests on his spare pillow. Above him, on the wall, hangs a large portrait of the same officer, with the bold heading 'NEMESIS'.

I love this. And 'decalomania' came from changing part of a term for an earlier fad! It's like if Britpop were called 'Popmania' because 'Beatlemania' was the word we used last time British pop had such a strong showing.
Merriam-Webster's etymology for 'decalomania', reading as follows: borrowed from French décalcomanie, from décalquer "to trace, transfer by tracing" (from dé- de- + calquer "to trace, copy") + -o- -o- + -manie -mania, after potichomanie "the art of imitating painted porcelain ware," earlier presumably "craze for vases imitating Chinese porcelain," compound with potiche "rounded or polygonal vase with a separate cover, originally one made in China" — more at calque

Our neighbours are moving so we got to help look after their cat for a few weeks. It was great; he was a wonderful houseguest. They picked him up last week and we've been feeling very catless since. Shout out to Winnie - best visitor, pleasure to host, would catsit again.

Yes, I agree. If a secretion is coming out of me, that's embarassing, and I need a handkerchief. If a liquid is coming out of me, that's alarming and I need a medical professional.

The others were already adults so they're just gradually getting more tired-looking. And I think they've made some important lifestyle changes recently (less drug abuse, more healthy walks, possibly got soul back, that sort of thing) so time isn't hitting them as hard as it once did.

Absolutely unhinged casting. Homer should be Colonel Mustard and he should have a trophy room full of hot dog wrappers. Krusty has green hair and pants and is a greedy bastard so he should be Mr and/or Reverend Green. And making Lisa Professor Plum is an open goal!
