Stare at the sun too long, and you'll go blind. [ #PantheonSMP @zombiecleo.bsky.social ] I drew this one after ep 1 then didn't post it here because i was shyyy but man today's episode was insaaane. I'm glad I decided to invest in these two the moment they met 😊

Drift sits behind Cleo and holds her in her arms, one across her chest, the other with her hand covering her eyes. She rests her head on Cleo's, who tilts hers up at her. There is a golden halo behind Drift's head, and she looks directly at the viewer and smiles. The gold of the halo and her eyes are the only colour in the otherwise monochrome piece, drawn with bold inky lines and inkwash shading.

Drift is a human woman with long brown wavy hair that hangs loose down the length of her back, and also in one long braid down her front over her right shoulder, and there are leaves woven into her braid and scattered through her hair. She wears a golden laurel wreath around her head. She is dressed in a greek peplos fashioned from a fabric that is green on one side and yellow on the other, creating a unique two toned look where the top half is a different colour to the bottom due to the way the fabric is folded. Another orange rectangle of fabric is draped over her left shoulder, and it is all cinched together at her waist with a leather sash and yellow chord. Around one wrist is a braid made from plant fibres, and around the other is a leather bracer.

Art of InfiniteDrift and Aimsey's characters Drift and AJ, dressed up for a party. Drift has styled her hair so that it hangs over one side of her face, and is wearing a lace trimmed silk blouse with a ribbon necktie, a brocade waistcoat, simple pants and heeled boots. AJ is wearing an almost entirely unbuttoned shirt and no bra underneath it, with her sleeves rolled up hand her goggles hanging around her neck. She is wearing suspenders and cuffed pants which have a patch sewn into them, and some simple shoes and socks. Drift stands looking a little reticent, while AJ smirks at the viewer.

it's a combination of a few different things! I primarily draw with Rough Ink, which is an already textured brush, but then I use my texture brushes to erase in more texture, and I use these same brushes to create the toning.

un-minecraft logics your driftsey near death experience

AJ huddles against a rocky cliff face, one arm wrapped tightly around her waist, breathing heavily. She looks down and lifts her hand, only to hiss in pain and immediately put her hand back to staunch the wound. She bites at the bandage wrapped around her other arm, pulling it loose and grasping at it, trying to unravel it one-handedly.
"AJ?" a faint voice calls, then grows louder as Drift crests the cliff and sees AJ curled up in the little ditch she's fallen into. "AJ! Are you okay!?"
"...Hey," AJ responds weakly, then looks down at her abdomen, "I'm... bleeding pretty bad."

"Are you actually!? Nonono no no" Drift exclaims, scrambling her way down into the ditch. When she reaches AJ, her voice softens and she takes AJ's hand in hers, "Hey, c'mere, c'mere, let me."
She pulls AJ's glove off and unravels the rest of the bandage that wraps its way up the length of her forearm, then deftly begins to wrap it around the injured woman's torso. AJ winces in pain and breathes heavily, but Drift soothes her, "You're fine, I got you."

"There we go, just rest for a second it's okay, Oli's got it."
AJ exhales painfully.
"Are you okay?" Drift asks, one hand on AJ's shoulder and the other in AJ's lap.
"Yeah," AJ says with a weak grin, "Yeah I'm—"
That confirmation is all Drift needs to break, and her head falls onto AJ's shoulder, "You scared me!" She yells.
AJ leans in, practically curled into Drift's lap at this point, and lifts her chin up with a finger and thumb to look at her, their faces centimeters apart, "I'm fine," she murmurs, "Hey, hey, just a scratch."
Drift pulls back and shouts at her again, "Don't—don't do that again!"
She turns her face away from AJ, who follows her, "I—hey, I'm tough! I'm tough!"

Drift meets her gaze again, "Yeah but—we're all human though! Don't forget that!"
AJ can't help but laugh, "Pfft, okay. I won't forget that."
Drift is silent, her hand falling from AJ's shoulder, staring down into her lap. "Don't scare me like that," she says in a small voice.
"I'm alright, I'm okay. I'm alive."
Drift is silent for a moment, then begins to rise to her feet, handing AJ's glove back to her as she does, "...we gotta find Oli."
AJ grasps the glove, almost like they are indirectly holding hands. "Yeah," she says.

She deflates a little
Ros: It's the last thing we have
AJ: Okay.
She looks away
AJ: Then, good luck with that, I'll uh—I dunno.
She tilts her head back, a little hysterical
AJ: I think I just y'know need—you know, this isn't Like me eeeheheahaha!
She gradually descends into hysterical laughter, a hand pressed to the side of her head
AJ: I think I just need uhhh... ohhh
Ros: No you're right, you—have it back
She hands the book to AJ

AJ accepts the book, and gradually turns away as she talks: Yeah um, I'll uhhh. Just—just forget I... mentioned anything, Life Mage. Um.
Ros: Yeah—I mean, yeah.
AJ has made her way to the door, and is leaning heavily against it with one arm, not looking at Ros: We'll just go back to being the same way we always are, okay?
Ros: If you change your mind, I'll be...
She stands alone in the center of her room, lit by the fireplace behind her
Ros: Here.
AJ peers over her shoulder: Okay.
She looks away, opens the door and leaves
AJ: I know where to find you.
Ros: Mhm. Bye.

Drift, drenched head to toe, her shirt turning see-through from the water: Shelby! I almost drowned!

Shelby, blushing slightly, with an arrow pointing towards her labelled "remorseless", thinking to herself: Oh daaamn she's getting jacked under there huh

"Ok, what's so important?" Drift asked finally, crossing her arms and leaning against the closest tree.

Surprisingly, Flick seemed to shuffle on the branch nervously. "You left."

Drift balks, making a slightly strangled noise. That's... That's it? She thought for AJ to go to such lengths the school had burnt down, or maybe the corruption had spread, or something! There had to be more, AJ wouldn't send her familiar all this way just because she was worried about Drift of all people.

Apparently, Drift's shocked silence was not the appropriate response, as the crow started to flap its wings, almost in indignation.

"Well- it was strange, was all."

"We agreed that we'd investigate the spies together, and then all of a sudden you're running around doing a corrupted ritual! And I'm like, that's weird, right? So I think, I'll go check up on her after the party, see if she's seen anything suspicious." AJ is honest to goodness rambling, and Drift can't find the voice to stop her. She's never heard her sound even remotely close to this frazzled before, and it's all because of her.

"So I walk all the way to your dorm, yeah? Call out for you, but you're clearly not there, because I called you Princess and everything, and no dice! Figured maybe you're with one of your little friends, so I start asking around, doing my thing,"

"and guess what they tell me?!"

By now Flick is walking up and down the branch, waving their wings up and down, clearly imitating whatever their mage is doing. It would be entertaining to watch, if Drift wasn't so utterly baffled by everything that's happened in the last 5 minutes. Suddenly, the crow whirls round to face her, leaning towards her, beady eyes locked on hers, its beak already wide open.

"You're gone! Gone! And I think, maybe this is my fault. Maybe you pushed too hard on Juniper, went full steam ahead with no plan, and you're dead in a ditch somewhere."

Why do bash “dead-beat” dragonriders for not being there for their dragon but we never question if the child has bad vibes? Or if they’re just unpleasant to be around?

AJ, hair down and clearly just having woken up, blows kissies at Flick who is perched on her arm and chirping at her. "Aww Fliiick good mornin' to you too dude mwah mwah."
She looks down in disgust, "Eugh. What the fuck do *you* want?"

Baby crow dragon Nicotine looks up at AJ with big baby eyes, looking like a puppy begging for boiling water off the stove

Mage Eloise closes her eyes and leans forwards to kiss Ser Bek, but pressed against Ser Bek's chin is the tip of her own spear, held in place by Eloise, preventing her from returning the kiss. The wings adorning Eloise's head wrap towards Ser Bek, casting a shadow across her face.

on my phone at the moment so apologies for the awkward video, but sort of! in recent versions you can attach objects to other objects. it won't replace the jaw geometry that is there, but you can detach and hide the head model to get a clearer look at the mouth when you draw it!

also, just in case, the shape key menu is located inside of the object tab of the sub tool panel when you have the object selected! the shape keys are stored in the .glb, so if this is missing for you then you may need to adjust them in blender instead
