Quick portrait/profile of a Camarasaurus based on the study that just dropped. The idea of sauropods having beaks is a cool revelation, if one that'll take some getting used to drawing lol #paleoart #dinosaur #dinosaurart #sauropod #Camarasaurus

I didn't like how Showa Mechagodzilla had a short tail in Godzilla Unleashed compared to the one seen in the movies.

It's days like this that I'm feeling like I need to take a stepback from life and reality for a bit if it's ever possible. A little cosmic timeout, so to speak.

I go through a lot of personal struggles too. One of these struggles is worrying about my friends and what they have to go through and I can't help but feel powerless to help them when they're in so much distress. I wish I could do something more than being there for them but I don't know what.

I don't feel so fortunate right now. I'm still employed at my first job of 6 years making a lot of money and getting everything I ever wanted while my friends and their friends are having a hard time trying to find employment to make a living in a current climate like this. It's not fair.

Watching the new Resident Evil movie gave the idea that if Archesuchus locked in and decided to turn his Weird Birds ARG into a full-length feature film, he should team with Zach Cregger to make it. It's got the flair for a potential horror movie with a little bit of black comedy tossed in.

Just got done watching #ResidentEvil That was some crazy stuff! Zach Cregger totally knocked it out of the park again! It was a perfect balance between horror and dark comedy as per usual by him. He did a pretty good job making sure it stayed true to the games. I'd give it 7.5/10 dino-teeth.

After watching The Hunter, is it safe to classify the movie as being paleomedia due to the Thylacine appearing in it as the main subject of the whole plot?

The Thylacine, AKA the Tasmanian Tiger, as it appears in the climax of the film.

🦖Gavin Hayes (DinoFang127)🦖 @dinofang127.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Just got done watching The Hunter. It was okay for the most part, but that scene near the end where Willem Dafoe finally encounters the Thylacine and having to put it down to prevent others from going after it was very heartbreaking and very poignant. I felt so bad for both of them.

🦖Gavin Hayes (DinoFang127)🦖 @dinofang127.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I'm now watching The Hunter. The one with Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill (RIP) and the Thylacine AKA the Tasmanian Tiger. It's also where that one fake Jurassic Park 4 trailer got a few clips from.

So Godzilla Minus Zero is gonna be rated R, huh? A first R-rated Godzilla movie ever, that's quite a first actually. What will we be expecting that makes it so, I'm wondering?

I finally got to watch Rex: Kyoryu Monogatari with English subtitles that I found on the internet. That was such a cute and heartwarming movie. I found myself tearing up a bit at the part where Rex mistook a T-Rex statue for his mother. Would watch again some other day.

Where there are real life Pokémon Trainers, Gym Leaders, Professors and others that truly enjoy Pokémon for the passion of it, there's always a real life Team Rocket in the form of scalpers looking to take for profit and never for the hobby.

Realizing just now that Pokémon scalpers are a basically real life Team Rocket. They like to take a bunch of children's toys, games, trading cards, books, etc. just to make a ridiculously expensive buck off them and ruining a hobby fans really enjoy.

"I'm just saying, hypothetically, how would we close it?" This would be more hilarious if a split diopter shot was applied here.

050

🦖Gavin Hayes (DinoFang127)🦖 @dinofang127.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

The End of Oak Street has done a case of the split diopter shot a couple of times during the family meeting scene.

Exhibit A, with Denise Platt (Anne Hathaway) in the foreground and Audrey Platt (Maisy Stella) in the background.

Exhibit B, with Greg Platt (Ewan McGregor) in the foreground and Brian Platt (Christian Convery) in the background.

031

🦖Gavin Hayes (DinoFang127)🦖 @dinofang127.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I can't believe no Jurassic Park/World movie has ever done a split diopter shot If you don't what a split diopter shot is, it's a practical camera technique that keeps both the foreground and the background in sharp focus at the same time while leaving the middle distance blurred. Example: Jaws

My copy of Nobita's Dinosaur 2006 has come in! Like Rex: Kyoryu Monogatari, it's a region 2 dvd but I can play it on my PS5 after changing the region settings. While I'm happy that I got two dinosaur movies produced in Japan, I kinda wish they came with English subtitles.

What I didn't expect to come with the DVD was a book based on the story, which is actually pretty nice.
