Nathan Adams @dinnerbone.com · 23/07/2025We figured it out! The chrome extension "Flash Player Enabler" (a repackaged Ruffle, no longer on the store) added this text to all pages. Someone with the extension used a WYSIWYG editor or similar, and then that text gets added to websites by mistake. 2210

Nathan Adams @dinnerbone.com · 30/06/2025There's hundreds, maybe thousands of these. I know many of these projects and even I'd be fooled by some of these sites at a glance. OSS projects are under attack in mass, and I can only assume it's for malware reasons. I've not heard about this on such a big scale before. I'm in absolute shock. 2370

The other hit I found was a _different_ LLM generated website for this tool. The commonality? They both list the same email address. Googling that email and... holy crap! 1320

It looked convincing until I scrolled to read more text. LLM slop is getting scary good at "looks good at a glance". I don't even know _how_ they managed this. Feeding LLM into LLM somehow? 5537
