Here's a carrd link that has a download to the most recent version of the Unofficial Collection, by far the best way to read. The asset pack's mediafire link still works, but if you want to go old school be sure to seed the torrent. unofficial-hs-collection.carrd.co

Before you is an animatronic found in the back alley. We are unsure of it's origins. It is your job to complete the maintenance checklist before claiming it as salvage, or if you choose to you can throw it back into the alley where you found it and forfeit payment. Please make your choice now.

Fun post-update metrics for beyondcanon.com that show when auto-scaling allocated/deallocated additional server instances. The site has 2 instances minimum and will auto-scale additional instances when average CPU usage hits 30%, up to a maximum of 10 extra instances. Last night, we hit 9 instances.

i have never liked his defeat, either. homestuck only seems willing to make the point that the system that creates lord english is not at fault but rather who is steering said system. the death of this comic's author is portrayed as a bad thing, after all.

Dingus @dingusdonkus.bsky.social · 10/03/2025

they did lord english so incredibly dirty in this comic the back half of act 5 gets spend building english up as this absurd supranarrative threat that's going to make jack noir look like a fucking joke and all he does is blow up ghosts in the background for most of act 6

i've been tailing the homestuck subreddit for a few weeks now and we just got into act 5. they do NOT write vriska like this anymore and it genuinely makes me sad. i have missed this absolute venom she has to her voice as a character.

THEY DID THATS INSANE. they nerfed the size or rose's forehead.

did they change the art on this panel? i remember this page looking different.

i thought these two were just Mobius Trip and Hadron Kaleido. fits with the whole two former soldiers from different sides coming together.

Dingus @dingusdonkus.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

Eh. Personally, not a fan of the hyperbolic character development chamber. Cowardly move to lock Vriska in jail and sand off her problematic elements, imo.

Dingus @dingusdonkus.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

homestuck has fallen, trillions must canonize

050

Dingus @dingusdonkus.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

You picked Candy first, you must suffer the consequences.

The entire point of the Epilogues is that canon no longer applies. The comic is over and isn't going to continue. Meat and Candy are simply two readings from a fan perspective of how to interpret that. Either with more connections to the main comic, or with a focus on it's characters

140

Personally, I'm of the opinion that Candy is just as canon as Meat is. One is only considered "more canon" than the other because it has more connections to the original Homestuck comic. They are both their own stories, and they're pretty obviously going to eventually end up merging in HS2.

Now it would be a different timeline with the addition of Gamzee, yes. The benefit of John's powerset is that he is effectively been unstuck from anything that could be considered canon, dubious or otherwise. His actions are capable of creating new stories, since he is not beholden to this one.

210

It is absolutely a dangerous power to possess, and we're very lucky that John does nothing with it unless people tell him to do so.

100

Yes and no. John's retcon abilities do not erase timelines. They still exist and are folded into the dreambubbles, but his power is unique in that it is able to modify the Alpha Timeline. He's essentially just making a new Alpha Timeline.

100

Also John's retcon power is basically just unrestricted time travel. So any length of time she would have been searching for is irrelevant if he can just appear in front of her.

100

Terezi's spent her search in the event horizon of the green sun's black hole, causing some heavy time dilation. If she was out there for 7 years she likely would have starved to death.

i don't think the comic being mean had anything to do with it. i would consider the events that primarily composed homestuck 2's initial run were just a PR disaster lain end to end. anyone who says the epilogues are the most atrocious shit ever mostly just have not engaged with it.
