During this past two weeks, I’ve dismantled a 2003 Power Mac G5, cleaned and re-thermal greased it, and fixed its issues, then pulled the guts out of my gaming rig to put it in a new case with a better CPU. BOTH booted first time round, so I’m starting to doubt my ineptitude. 🤨

My haul so far in my attempt to build a replica Amiga A4000D, using a ReAmiga CR motherboard, and components sources all over the world. There’s an SFX PSU just off to the right, and a big mess of components on the way from Mouser to get me started on the soldering. Wish me luck!

I’ve been having migraines daily for the last several months, until I saw a vid linking aspartame (artificial sweeter) to migraines, gut issues and more. Stopped drinking soda a couple of weeks ago, and haven’t had a migraine since. We can’t escape it tho, as it’s in a growing quantity of our food!

Started playing with my GreaseWeazel floppy disk backup tool today, and after failing with the GUI, I tried the command line option, and got it working. Loaded the .adf into Winuae and it worked! I now need to find my old game backup disks to see the raw graphics for the first time in YEARS!

Got my latest purchases from Sordan.ie today, a PiStorm32 Lite (with my own Pi4 already installed), an SD HDD mount, and a couple of ROM pairs to give me some choices (all legal).
