10/10 Best 4th of July ever.
A photo taken from outside the London Pride Parade 2026 cordon area. Over the parade route fencing, one can see several pride flags held aloft and the iconic Tesco logo emblazoned atop a parade float. It is said for even glimpsing this beautiful national treasure, one might receive up to 15 Tesco Club Card Points.

Don't bother dad, he's watching the Sunday game.
A photo of the television showing the League of Pigs pig racing event from earlier in the year.

Walmart really out here selling moldy bread. Already hate going here unless it's under duress.
Pictured is a basket of Market side sourdough loaves, 4-packs. The top middle bundle has visible mold on them. The same picture of the sourdough loaves from further back, showing off the classic #Walmart store and #EverydayLowPrice advertising and pricing sign.

Not gonna lie, pretty proud of myself for making vegan knockoff Cane's sauce from scratch. Pretty damn good for working from memory and a notoriously hard recipe to clone.
A picture of a bowl of bootleg Rasing Cane's sauce, resting on a festive piggy pot holder. Behind it are two mason jars of Wooster Sauce and Tony Sachery's seasoning. The Seasoning is spelled wrong and corrected because there should be two C's. Both are misspelled intentionally, so hopefully if you read this with speech to text it sounds phonetically fine. :3

It's been a bit since I shared an update, my harvest is finally popping off. I've also been limbering up my canning skills again with some basic hot sauce and pickling recipes. I have my eyes set on trying out some jelly and jam recipes this time, so stay tuned. ;9
A beautiful bowl of fresh picked hot peppers (picked by me, a piggy, which means they are piggy picked piquant peppers!). The bowl includes a variety of (clockwise from right) cayenne, red habanero, Anaheim and Thai chilis. The bowl rests upon my cooktop, with various cooking accoutrement in the background and out of focus.A close up shot of two quarter pint mason jars of home made jalapeno hot sauce. More jars, including a half pint, are visible in the background. The consistency came out closer to salsa than hot sauce but y'know, I forgot I had a blender available. And I will not apologize for my reckless behavior with a food processor at 11:00 PM on a work night.

Anthropomorphism of objects we interact with is pretty common already, and it's hard not to recognize things that look like faces and snouts and head shapes. I could see the difference being "do you actively call them out or just linger your gaze longer on the object." :3

Love how the one viable remaining method for job hunting just happily sends out "lol quirky" emails. Real nice that these are the folks who hold a monopoly on job postings these days.

I stand by the fact that the best art I got at @furcationland.org this year was the adorable boar-lion doodle @cadmiumtea.bsky.social made on my paper bag. Been pondering how to show it off ever since. Not sure I'm sold on this particular frame, but definitely want to keep it on display. :3
An adorable doodle of a boar-lion by the artist CadmiumTea, that was once drawn on a paper bag. The doodle is now framed and hanging on the wall.

Welcome to the world sage, oregano, rabbit food sweet basil, rosemary and lemon thyme (not doing so hot oops).
Welcome to my garden. <3 On the left, an eight inch pot sits upon a slightly crumbly but still beautiful (same though) rock wall. It is growing a lovely sage plant. Next to that sits a six inch pot with a spry little oregano plant.Stay awhile and enjoy the smells of my garden. <3 Continuing from the last image, On the left, a six inch pot sits upon the same slightly crumbly rock wall. It is growing rabbit food... I know this because calling it that in front of Hazel, she agreed without question. Next to that sits an eight inch pot with a plucky little rosemary plant. I still have dried rosemary left over from last year, so I am concerned but excited at using a larger pot for it. And on the right, an eight inch pot with a very sad lemon thyme plant. I might have left it in the starter pot a little too long. Ooops.

I'd say roast my fursona, but that'd be a bit too appropriate. ;P

Ooof, gonna get close to freezing this week... Time to harvest hard. Pulling off everything that is starting to ripen. Also, testing whether I can vine ripen indoors with cuttings.
An array of habanero, cayenne and Serrano peppers ripening on the window sill.A cutting of five unripened cayenne peppers still on the vine, hanging in the dry basement and labeled with the date.

Candied ginger took way more time than expected, but ohhhhh, it came out so gooooood. Was worried it would end up leathery from drying overnight but it's tender and flavorful!

T'is the season for pumpkin, and what better way to celebrate than to donate to www.pumpkinsforpigs.org? (It's me, I'm the pigs.)
A screenshot from the www.pumpkinsforpigs.org website that reads: Welcome to Pumpkins for Pigs!
Our mission is to match pigs (and other pumpkin-eating animals) with un-carved, non-inked/non-painted pumpkins to prevent them from being thrown in the landfill.Donated pumpkins are excellent feed and a wonderful treat to the animals on the farms and sanctuaries. Pumpkins also make great compost. Thanksgiving comes up and we start moving to the next holiday but often our pumpkins are in perfectly fine shape, and its a waste to throw them out when they are still useful to feed the animals.
