PhD Simulator - A Text-Based Game by Mianzhi Wang
A completely random event based text game. Simply make your choice at the beginning of each month and see if you can graduate in time. All outcomes are determined by the random number generator and do not take them seriously. Sometimes the RNG can be brutal :)

This was among the most fun projects I’ve worked on! Borrowing some methods from MRI and applying them to whole-brain microscopy data of outstanding quality. Check out these beautiful (and magnetoreceptive) bird brains! #anatomy #neuroscience From: @adamltyson […]

I wonder if the tools of digital stylometry can detect what people seem to sense when presented with AI-generated text. I don't mean using deep learning to have built up an internalised semantic picture of what type of text LLMs generate, but just purely examining style with eg the count of […]

Didier Raoult now published a 'preprint' claiming I am 'close' to Gates Foundation - citing a France Soir article as the reference. He also suggests that my poor facial recognition skills are linked to autism, with 'serious psychosocial consequences'. What a sad man. hal.science/hal-04795904/
Highlighted text from the article:

"This platform has been widely used by Elisabeth Bik, a biologist with a scientific background who has a self-proclaimed "fraud hunter" whose funding for this activity is totally obscure and is close to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (9). She recently confessed in an interview (10) , she was a victim of face blindness also call prosopagnosia, a condition link to autism in 36% of cases (11) and which may have serious psychosocial consequences. She said his brain has the uncanny ability to spot retouched or doctored images in a fraction of a second. She explains that his neurons, by a strange mechanism, launch themselves in search of repetitive patterns, replicated angles, points or similar lines scattered throughout the pages. She manages to spot copy-paste even when an academic has taken care to flip the original image or edit it in Photoshop (10). "Before, I thought everyone was like me...". “I only recently realized that I had some kind of special ability. ». This donation will push her to flush out scientific fraud using the PubPeer platform."
