& this is happening in almost all the Arts & entertainment fields, as we see money/nepotism in contemporary music, visual arts, sports, & a curious flaccid reproduction of form/content in fiction writing. Yet, local scenes are a lot more vibrant than what is going on in the spectacle.

I've met so many on the left who are hostile to Higher Ed. Part of the left is anti-institutional, anti-establishment. But we seem to be ceding space to the right in what were formerly liberal bastions.

Democrats are really out to lunch, lost, or worse when it comes to Higher Ed. They actually support a lot of the destruction. Think about this: Trump yesterday had his DOE declare many majors will no longer receive student loans. This was an idea that originated with Obama.

Why is the press keeping mum on the massive job losses in the professional sectors? I have so many friends in their 40s and 50s who cannot find employment in anything resembling their professional skillset. This cuts across all professional fields, whether in tech, finance, scientists, etc.

Steve played football at Rutgers, not sure about Brian. But he also spent a decade as an ass't & safety coach. Steve was actually a pretty good DC & was even offered a job to stay on w/ the Patriots. Brian actually did stay on. Steve went to UW to become the DC. They have plenty of experience

So, they do the test on paper? Teachers are only giving digital tests these days. I always looked deliberately confused when administrators would lecture parents about cutting screen use for children. All the assignments are digitized. They have 2-to-3 hrs of homework a night.
