"Sounds more like you changed, not the Iktomasaurs." With a shrug, Ororon shifted where he was sitting- scooting slightly to one side in silent invitation, pulling the blanket he had a bit more securely over his shoulders as he moved. If she planned on staying and talking, might as well try to +

I lower my head into my hands and sob. Oh 、but how wretched are we 、the unloved. We wither like forgotten plants in the shadow 、always yearning 、always hungry--stretching our arms forever towards a light that is always moving farther and farther away.

"........" Takes a quick glance around— Slowly raises a brow as he does, chewing slightly at the end of his straw with a small noise. ".... You do realize they're probably around nearby, right? What's there to miss? They're as abundant as a season's first harvest. Like potatoes."

000

".... Oh. That's what you meant." Well, now he's going to take a long, much deserved sip of his juice. Staring her dead in the eye as he did. Completely content with himself. "Nah, Granny and Ifa wouldn't give me anything I can't actually drink. I trust them. Iktomasaur, by the way. Technically."

"She'd probably wanna take me out with her bare hands, actually.... What with all that trouble I caused with the Fatui."

000

"Acid?" Glances down ro his drink, brow pinching slightly as he tipped the cup toward himself— Before simply bringing it up to his nose to take a sniff at it, hummimg his confusuion when he just.... Smelt sweet fruit. "Granny's had twenty-six years to change her mind and use me as a sacrifice +

"Mm...." What a strange lady. Though, who was he to really judge this, seeing who he is. Instead, the hybrid just tips his head in response as he thinks, an uncovered ear flicking absently as he took another slow sip, thinking. "Mango. I think? Maybe watermelon. Gramny brought it so...."

Who even is this again? He's pretty sure he's seen her before- that they've talked. Over what, he doesn't know. Maybe Ifa would remember, since something tells him the vet was there for this. ".... Fruit? Fruit juice?"

000

STARTLES? .... He's just.... Staring at her. Blinking once before slowly sipping through the straw of his drink again. Confused.

He's just vibing here— Sipping at a juice and bundled up in a worn blanket outside. The weather's nice enough for it so why not enjoy?

wasn’t. He was clueless to what he meant; turning to look at his friend with a confused, curious look as he brushed the dirt off on his pants to accept it. “Thanks, bro. I’ll get to work on these once the season’s here and make sure you get some of the good ones. But…. What’s the occasion, though?”

000

He had heard him before he saw him— A bit preoccupied with the germinating seedlings he was working through and repotting into larger pots so the roots had room to grow by the front door, an ear lazily flicking toward Ifa and Cacucu. The visit was expected. The gift he brought him, though, +
