With tokens I try to differentiate the enemies as much as possible. So the players can immediately recognize which enemy is which at first glance. That part takes some time.

Oh yeah, I think you can do a lot with these rules as a base. Were I not constrained by the 2-page limit and the hours in a day, I would have made a lot of different maps, hazards, recipes, and objectives for this.

When I run FoBB for my dnd friends, they said “this system is ideal for the type of adventures you tend to run”. I’m so happy Draw Steel exists because I no longer feel constrained by a system. I don’t have to fight the game to make it fun!

There’s a moment in the Mandalorian versus Groglet where during a big battle a single mouse gets absolutely obliterated by a passing ship. Not by a stray shot—the poor thing was targeted specifically! Love this tradition of Star Wars absolutely hating animals for no reason whatsoever 😆
