This is the bit i don't understand. I traveled from Sydney to Paris and Paris to Bayeux to see the tapestry. It's been available to the English all this time. An easy (and delightful) weekend trip from London. Bayeux cathedral is lovely. The war museum and graveyard tell a different story.

North Melbourne were the shinboners because of the large abattoir in kensington. Also I think South Sydney are the Rabbitohs because of rabbit butchers

Reminds me of the LBJ quote about Gerry Ford: "Nice guy, but can't do two things at once, like walk and chew gum"

Journalist pivot seamlessly from "Housing affordability crisis" to "House prices PLUNGE". And the median price table in this article is comedy gold. For a laugh compare O'Connor (ACT) to Lineham (ACT). www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

shorter history, but Brisbane has won 6 flags without ever winning the minor premiership. I suspect that's most flags without minor premiership.

But that's also the point. The really big housing commission buildings were never in places like Woollahra. They were Alexandria or South Melbourne. The call for Housing Commission flats is a call for building ELSEWHERE.

Unfair. I'm a boomer, and in my silly youth I owned an old jaguar. The starter button was in pride of place in middle of dash. It actually makes more sense than starter by turning ignition one step further. I never accidentally engaged the starter motor.

is it bad of me that I kind of enjoyed this (33 years ago). Biggest problem is that while Sherilyn Fenn is gorgeous, there is no romantic spark between her and anyone. Kelly Lynch and Baldwin actually are really good, but of course, she is not into guys.

Generic plates. Someone got into the “secure” car park of our apartment and took two sets (that I know of) apparently there is a rising problem with plate theft. our ne plates are screwed on with “anti-theft” screws, basically to persuade them it will be quicker to take someone else’s.

From what little I know of albo, he really is still living in the 1980s politically. Cannot understand that anyone is more progressive than him. So anyone to the left of him annoys him.

I was in high school (Australia) with some Portuguese kids (c1974) This was still such an issue for them they would talk about it in the playground. It was really the first thing I ever learned about the game. They had been 6 in 1966.
