Killer Trait's Chapter 4's Editing is done!! Sorry for the silence. It's been a bit rough, lately. Good news is I'll make a Killer Trait devlog on itchio soon and also reveal the release date for the Final Demo. Stay tuned!

This would mean there'd be a possibility of having 5 new CGs in chapter 4, BUT it's not guaranteed. I have to see how viable an option this is right now, especially because of my budget and my idea for a (final demo) release between September and November of this year.

WONDERFUL NEWS: I finished writing Killer Trait's chapter 4!!! Now it's time for it to go the editing phase! Meanwhile, the artists are still working on the new art and I'm debating the possibility of adding 3 more CGs to the original 2 ones that will be in chapter 4.

This is a good time to remind everyone that there is a free and open source alternative to Ren'Py that has absolutely zero AI code in it. It's called RenJS and is well documented, easy to use, and built on Javascript. renjs.net

You could always us a version of Ren'py that was made before the AI such as 7.4.0. Or use Rpg Maker itself there quite a few visual novels that have been made on Rpg Maker (one of them that was made by Espoir Du Vide)

Merry posted this only on X but I'm sharing it here as well 'cause, honestly, a lot of people who do freelance creative work should do what he's saying in this post. Communication is VITAL. Added Alt Text too.

An important post about freelance work that Merryweather made on this X account.

This is it:

"The second you accept someone's money for a job, you have a duty to them to:

1. Communicate the timeline.
2. Communicate delays.
3. Deliver the agreed upon work to the best of your ability.
4. If unable to fulfil the order according to the initial agreement, offer the option of a refund or compensation.

Unfortunate situations happen. But you must take into account that an emergency may occur on your end and have a system in place in case you are unable to deliver your work. Getting sick, having a family emergency, or having a personal issue happening is a normal part of life, and you need to plan for those inevitable situations. It is not on your clients to have to accept unfinished work with no refund due to your lack of planning. It is on you to ensure that you have a way to recompense them in those unfortunate cases. Whether that be a refund or the option of future work to compensate the client (if they accept it)."

Perhaps my favorite dark romance visual novel so far. This VN disturbingly depicts the absolute terror of being trapped in an abusive, drug-induced relationship, and left a bittersweet taste in the end. Truly a masterpiece. faeelure.itch.io/faetrap

I have several characters on the ace spectrum! In fact, all of my games (so far) have AT LEAST one ace character 🥰 Here are 3 of them! 🌸 Aspen is a graysexual enby graphic designer. Fawna is a demisexual criminal profiler who dreams of being a detective. Fay is an asexual paranormal detective!

A drawing of Aspen (from my game Where Winter Crows Go), Fay (from my game Reynard and upcoming game Mystic Cipher) and Fawna (from Killer Trait) holding flags!

Aspen, on the left, is holding a graysexual flag. They have red hair and are smiling with their mouth open and eyes closed.

Fay, in the middle, is holding an asexual flag. She has light brown hair and heterochromia (one eye is green and the other one is golden) and is smiling with her mouth closed.

Fawna, on the right, is holding a demisexual flag. She has pink hair and is smiling with her mouth open and her eyes closed.

A drawing of Aspen (redhead) and Crowe (green hair) holding a flag that says "Happy 1st Anniversary!" to celebrate the 1st anniversary of my game: Where Winter Crows Go.

Fawna looking at herself in the mirror after having her hair dyed pink.

NonPlatonic Forms is an indie game about the transmasc heart... ...but it always helps to have the lesbian seal of approval <3 Wishlist it now: store.steampowered.com/app/3035800/...

A visual novel screenshot of two men gently holding each other and staring into each others' eyes

There is also a text testimonial: Honestly most of Lee & Diegesis scenes touched my heart, as a lesbian this game has captured queer yearning in such a powerful and special way that makes me feel SEEN and joyous !! I just wanted to say thank you :) what you make and dream is incredibly important and special to so many !! <3
