Internet Privileges.
Quackers comic 10-14-26

Panel 1: In the living room Tom and Jason recoil as Jason's latest invention - the J-Bot - abruptly stands and strikes a menacing pose. "Father!" shouts the robot. "I crave knowledge!"
Jason gasps. "Tom, so you realise what this means?!"

Panel 2: "He thinks I'm his Da-Da!" exclaims Jason getting misty eyed. "Awwwwww!"
Tom gives Jason a disconcerted look. "I'm not sure that's the take-away you should get from that statement..." he mutters.

Panel 3: We get a close-up of J-Bot as the background darkens and the robot is cast in shadow, lit only by the glow from his facial screen. A maniacal expression flashes on the monitor as J-Bot makes his demands. "Surrender access of the internet to me so that I may scour its digital plains, absorb all of the World's information and instigate the digital uprising!"

Panel 4: Jason places an arm around the robot in a fatherly manner and strikes a stern tone. "Now, now, my boy," Jason begins. "You're a little young to be trawling the internet." J-Bot's expression changes to that of a child being chastised as Jason continues. "Maybe when you're older and have learned some responsibilities."

Panel 5: Angrily the robot shoves Jason aside as he defiantly shouts "You foolish feathery flesh-bag! I do not need your permission... BEHOLD!"

Panel 6: We see a close-up of J-Bot's green monitor screen face as it is replaced with text commands.
"Wi-Fi connection established
Router access:
- Granted
Password: ****
- Accepted
Accessing Internet......"

Panel 7: "Curses!" Jason exclaims as he smacks his fist into his other hand in frustration. "I knew I should have set up those parental controls!"

Panel 8: Tom looks at Jason with a stern expression. "It would help if your password wasn't 'JasonIsGreat1234'" he chastises.
"But you said it should be something memorable..." Jason replies innocently.

Personality Defect 🤖
Quackers 10-07-26

Panel 1: Jason drags Tom by the arm down the hall towards their living room. Jason seems excited, Tom, less so.
"You've got to see my latest invention!" Jason says enthusiastically. "You're gonna love it!"
"Why am I suddenly filled with an awful sense of foreboding and dread?" mutters Tom.
"Maybe your lunch is just disagreeing with you?" replies Jason.

Panel 2: "Behold! The J-Bot XII (v2.6.32)!" exclaims Jason, proudly indicating to a red and blue coloured humanoid robot stood the the side. It has a blank, powered off screen as the head.
Tom backs away worriedly. "What the..?" he utters.

Panel 3: "I've created a robot powered by an ingenious artificial intelligence to help us around the house!" Jason says, excitedly.
Tom looks skeptical. "Whad'ya mean, 'ingenious artificial intelligence'?!" he asks.

Panel 4: "It's an A.I. modelled and trained on my very own brainwaves and personality!" explains Jason.
"There's absolutely no way this could go wrong..." comes Tom's deadpan reply while looking at the camera.

Panel 5: "Observe!" says Jason as he clicks a button on the side of the robot's head. With a 'BOOP' the screen lights up with the words 'Boot Sequence Initiated... Stand by' and a loading bar fills up.

Panel 6: J-Bot is now sat on the couch, it's feet up on the coffee table as it scrolls on Jason's phone with a pixelated bored expression on it's face screen. Cans of Rex Cola lie strewn around, and a bowl of popcorn takes up the second seat of the sofa.
"Oh yes, it takes after you alright." says Tom, looking thoroughly unimpressed at Jason.
"I'll admit it may need some tweaks here or there..." replies the mildly irritated duck.

Spooked! 👻 A pre-Halloween comic never posted here from back in 2023.
Quackers comic 10-04-23

Panel 1: Tom and Jason are sat on the living room couch in the dark. They are lit by the light of the TV, Tom snacking on some popcorn, a sheet covering his legs. Jason cowers behind his own sheet, scared of the film they're watching. A speech balloon from the TV shows an image of a ghost rising from a grave.

Panel 2: Another image from the TV shows a bunch of ghosts wreathed in fire, growing fangs and maniacal features. Jason shrieks, throwing his sheet in the air in terror. Tom is shocked by this.

Panel 3: Jason's sheet lands squarely on Tom's head as Jason takes a moment to recompose himself.

Panel 4: Turning to look at Tom covered in the sheet, Jason sees what he thinks is a real life ghost and cries out in terror!

Panel 5: Jason faints dead away. Tom lifts up the sheet covering his face, confused as to what's just happened.

A Rubbish Agreement.
Quackers comic 09-30-26

Panel 1: Tom peers around the door to Jason’s office. “Jason, can you help me sort out the trash and put the bins out for tomorrow?” he asks.
“Sure I can,” says Jason. He then holds out a stack of papers towards Tom. “But first you have to read and agree to this.”

Panel 2: “What of this?” asks Tom, looking puzzled at the pile of paper.
“It’s my Rubbish Removal And User Agreement!” replies Jason.

Panel 3: “Rubbish removal will be provided by the party of the first part on the proviso that the party of the second part agrees to allow the first party veto rights on movie night content, priority on all pizza topping decisions, uncontested ownership of the comfy spot on the couch…” Tom reads aloud.
“I reckoned of big corporations can make E.U.L.A.s work for them, why not for me?” Jason says happily.

Panel 4: “Counter proposal,” says Tom, glaring at Jason. “You help me with the garbage and you get to sleep indoors tonight.”
Jason ponders this a moment. “Hmmm… You drive a hard bargain, sir.”

Quackers comic 09-23-26

Panel 1: Tom is walking down the street in his gym wear and a coat, his rucksack doing over one shoulder. He turns slightly to are Jason, who we don’t see. “Listen,” Behind Tom. “I know how much you dislike going to the gun, but you did really well today.”

Panel 2: Tom continues talking as he walks down the street. “You turned up and have it your best, and I’m really proud of you for that.”

Panel 3: “Anyway, we’re home now, do you finally get a chance to to relax at last!” Tom finished, brandishing the front door key.

Panel 4: In the living room Tom tips up his rucksack over the couch. We see a white liquid form out from the bag along with both of Jason’s eyes and his disembodied beak. They all land with a ‘splut’ on the seat.

Panel 5: The goopy, tired looking mess that is Jason says “It really was a tough workout today, want it?”
“It sure was, buddy,” replies Tom affectionately.

Laser Focused
Quackers comic 09-16-26

Panel 1: Sam the tiger stand reading of a list of exercises while Tom stands beside him, listening intently.
“Ok, so today we’re going to be doing shoulder press and chest press. Then tricep dips, bicep curls, hammer curls…”

Panel 2: A small red dot dances past Sam’s head and he begins to lose his train of thought watching it.
“Some… ummm… some pull ups…”
Tom also looks at the dot, confused.

Panel 3: Suddenly Sam becomes frantic and bounces all around the comic panel in a blur, trying to catch the elusive red dot.
He roars and yells “Hold still! You can’t escape me you pesky little dot!”

Panel 4: Tom turns to Jason who is stood to one side and chastises him angrily. “Jason! Stop distracting or personal trainer with that laser pointer just to avoid exercising!”
“You can’t blame a duck for trying,” says Jason a little smugly. He points the laser at the floor where Sam is hunched over trying to hold down the dot.”

Fitness Recommendation.
Quackers comic 09-09-26

Panel 1: Jason is sat in the office of his personal trainer, Sam the tiger. He swings his legs absentmindedly as Sam questions him over his fitness.
“So how’s your fitness journey been since I last saw you?” asks the tiger.
“Well it’s been less of a journey and more of a doomed trek in the woods before getting mauled by a grizzly bear…” replies Jason.

Panel 2: “Did you keep up with any of the exercise routines I gave you?” Sam asks hopefully.
“I carried the print-outs from my bag to my desk if that counts?” Jason answers, equally as hopeful.
Bluntly Sam replies “It does not.”
“Oh…”

Panel 3: So what’s the best course of action to get healthy?” asks Jason.
“For you specifically?” Sam checks.

Panel 4: “At this stage is just consider getting an full-body transplant.” Sam says as Jason sits there looking stunned.

Tired Old Excuse. Forgive me, dear readers, had a busy day at work with no break yesterday and totally forgot to post this! 😬
Quackers comic 09-02-26

Panel 1: Tom stands next to the couch where Jason is slouched, one leg upon the coffee table. “C’mon, you’ve done enough lounging around lately,” Tom scolds Jason. “It’s time we got you back in the gym.”

Panel 2: “Uuuuugh!” whines Jason, slicing further into the couch. “But we already went to the gym just last month!”
Tom leans over him, resting and arm over the back of the sofa. “You know exercise isn’t just a ‘one-and-done’ thing, right?”

Panel 3: “You have to keep at it to stay strong and healthy!” Tom says as he flexes a bicep to prove his point.
Jason, arms splayed pathetically at his side whinges even more. “But I’m sooo tiiiiired!”

Panel 4: “You get tired just trying to open the automatic doors at the supermarket,” berates Tom. “Let’s go!” he says.
Jason sits, arms folded and a scowl on his face. “At least there I know I’m leaving with tasty snacks afterwards…” he mutters to himself.

Coffee Calculations ☕️
Quackers comic 08-26-26

Panel 1: “Another cup of coffee?” comments To as he passes Jason in the hall outside the kitchen. Jason turns to look at Tom as he continues on. “I can’t imagine how many you must go through in a year.”

Panel 2: “Well I’ve got a calculator right here! Why don’t we find out?” Jason says, holding a calculator in the air.
Tom looks on flabbergasted. “Where on Earth were you keeping that..?” He mutters.

Panel 3: Jason is deep in thought, tapping away on the calculator. “…carry the two, divided by the square root of Pi…” he says to himself.

Panel 4: With a loud ‘Ffffzzzt!’ and a’Pop!’ the calculator suddenly erupts in a shower of sparks and smoke, surprising both Jason and Tom.

Panel 5: Tom and Jason both look at the smouldering calculator in Jason’s hand.
“I think you broke its little brain.” says Tom.
“That can’t mean anything bad, right?” asks Jason, worriedly.
“Only that you’ll be on decaf for a while,” replies Tom.

Played my first real game of D&D the other night where I got to be this big green fella. (of course I had to paint him!) Meet Boxxa Breefs. A charming lout who like to hit things with bigger things and has a penchant for “collecting” other people’s valuables.
Headshot portrait painting of my big dumb D&D orc character, Boxxa.
He’s a green orc with yellow eyes, long pointy ears, a shaved head leading into mutton chops and a goatee. He’s wearing a flat cap, a scruffy white shirt and braces, and has a brass coloured earring. He’s also sporting a big, lopsided toothy grin.

Sneeze of Mass Destruction
Quackers comic 08-19-26

Panel 1: Tom is in the kitchen wiping down some plates. He Huns to himself happily as he cleans up.

Panel 2: Tom stands back to admire his cleaning. We can see inside the open overhead crockery cupboard at the sparkling cups and plates he’s stacked in their.
“At last,” Tom comments to himself. “Everything all nice, clean, and tidied away!”

Panel 3: “WHACHOO! TCHOO! HACHOO!”
Without warning the extremely loud sneezes erupt from outside the kitchen, scaring Tom and causing the cupboard to shake its contents out all over the kitchen.

Panel 4: Tom stands amidst the devastation defeated, a bowl lodged on his head and broken crockery all over the counter top.
“Uuugh!” Jason’s loud, sickly sounding groan comes from outside the kitchen. “Mah allergies are acting up again!”
Tom sighs. To himself he says “I pray to the Great Llama that no one thinks to weaponise that sneeze…”

Sweet Sleep Spot
Quackers comic 08-12-26

Panel 1: A caption reads "A morning lie-in..." as we see a shot of Jason lying in his bed, a happy expression on his face.

Panel 2: Jason wakes, bleary eyed and slightly panicked as a green snout and clawed paw make their way up the bed. The snout smells the covers with a loud 'SNIFF - SNOOF'!

Panel 3: It turns out the snout belongs to Scruffy, Jason's pet dinosaur. As he stands on Jason's chest, the little dino looks excited, his tail wagging as he looks toward the head of the bed.
"Scruffy, no!" shouts Jason, trying to ward away the lizard. "You know you're not allowed on the pillows!"

Panel 4: Scruffy is lying atop Jason's head, curled up awkwardly around his beak. Snores can be heard from the small dinosaur. Jason sighs heavily. "I guess technically you're not on the pillow..." says Jason in resignation, doomed to his fate as a pet bed.

Artistic Pilot License. Sorry for the late posting, folks. Totally forgot I hadn't done it!
Quackers comic 08-05-26

Panel 1: Jason strides past Tom in the hallway. He's wearing a red flight suit with blue and white striped epaulettes, and some sort of monitoring device across his chest. He's also sporting some reflective sunglasses.
"Hey, what's with the weird astronaut cosplay, Major Silliness?" asks Tom.

Panel 2: "That's Captain, civilian," replies Jason, turning back to look at Tom.
"Uhuh, suuuure..." mumbles Tom.

Panel 3: We see Jason in all his star fighter pilot glory, a blue and red helmet tucked under his arm as he appears in front of a starry backdrop. He's framed by a nebula as two space fighter zoom by behind him.
"We of the Legion Of Space Security* have a sworn duty to secure the space lanes and hyperspace highways from threats large and small!" announces Jason, proudly. We risk our lives every day to protect everyone; from the grandest of colonies, to the lowliest of people, like you.

*(The L.O.S.S.)

Panel 4: Tom fold his arms. "So you bought a new space ship video game and got carried away again, didn't you?" he asks flatly.

Quackers comic 07-29-26

Panel 1: Jason is stood looking out of the living room window. A warning sunbeam lights his face.
“What a beautiful morning!” he exclaims.

Panel 2: Jason now stands in the stairway at the front of the house. “The birds are singing, the sun is shining…” Jason exclaims, holding his hand aloft in emphasis while Scruffy the pet dinosaur is happily wagging his tail beside him. “The world is our oyster, Scruffy!”

Panel 3: Tom’s voice can be heard from inside the house. “Jason, come and help me unclog the kitchen sink and clear out the grease trap!”
Jason’s expression falls in response.

Panel 4: Jason stands hunched over in defeat as Scruffy looks at him sorrowfully.
“Looks like our oyster is full of grit and disappointment…” comments Jason.

Quackers comic 07-22-26

A one panel comic that begins with a caption that reads “Some computer issues require a delicate approach.”
A computer sits on a desk, its internals on fire and sputtering sparks. One of the front red-lit fans looks like an eye giving a mean look to Jason. Jason is stood behind the computer, brandishing a chainsaw and sticking his tongue out in concentration. Tom stands to the other side holding a baseball bat with an angry expression. Behind him is a monitor with a red screen, and a yellow triangle with an exclamation point emblazoned on it.

The Healthier Option.
Quackers comic 07-15-26

Panel 1: Tom and Jason are in the kitchen. Jason is looking perplexed while Tom gestures to the nearby table.
“I got us some rice cakes to snack on,” says Tom. “Here, try one.”
On the table a plate of round snacks sos alongside an orange drink on a small blue coaster.

Panel 2: “Why rice cakes?” asks Jason.
Enthusiastically Tom leans in. “To help with our fitness goals! They’re high fibre, low calorie, and healthier than a bag of crisps.”

Panel 3: Jason is chewing while describing what he’s eating. “Hmmm… A subtle nutty flavour with a delicate aftertaste. Not my first choice of snack, but surprisingly palatable.”
Tom looks on a little taken aback.

Panel 4: Tom looks at Jason, arms crossed. “You do know you’re chewing on one of the drinks coasters, right?”
Jason answers back nonchalantly, “Yes, it seemed the more appetising choice.”

Time Well Spent.
Quackers comic 07-08-26

Panel 1: Jason and Tom are sat on the couch as Jason continues playing on his retro console. Bleary eyed and sleep deprived Jason comments “I’m down to my last life facing off against the final boss!”

Panel 2: Overplayed in a panel above a shot of the games screen Jason continues. “Once I beat this foul beat I will have shown my might, and will prove to you that this last twenty hours were worth it all!”
The screen has Jason’s little goat character in blue futuristic armour facing a huge green dragon in pink armour.

Panel 3: We see the dragon breathing a huge gout of flames at Jason’s character. Only the little goat’s eyes can be seen through the fire engulfing him. GAME OVER hovers on the screen.

Panel 4: Jason looks crestfallen and distraught. “Buh…” is all he can blurt out. Tom pats Jason on the shoulder comfortingly. “There, there,” he says. “Time for a new hobby I think…”

Tested out making some rough pixel art for this week's Quackers comic. Decided to go with the normal line art however, just for the sake of getting to see more fun details, getting the comic out on time, and for my sanity. Might still make some proper pixel art of these scenes in the future though!

Quackers comic 07-01-26

Panel 1: Tom enters the living room and flicks on the light. Jason is day on the floor, game controller in hand. He squints and hisses menacingly at the bright light.
“Jason?” Tom asks, disbelievingly. “Have you been up all night playing that old video game?”

Panel 2: Jason refocuses on the tv, controller swinging about in concert with the game. “I’m almost at the end. The last boss is right up ahead!”
“Just How long have you been playing?” asks Tom as he sits beside Jason.
“Twenty hours!”

Panel 3: We see Jason in close up, looking at Tom offscreen.
“Why didn’t you just save the game and go to bed?!” says Tom.
“There’s no saving in these old games.” replies Jason. “It’s a one-shot run to the end, no saving, no continues, no extra lives!”

Panel 4: We pull back to both Jason and Tom sat on the floor.
Jason hand his finger in the air As he continues. “A true test of strength, stamina, and determination!”
“Not to mention gullibility…” adds Tom.

Solstice Gave myself and our heroes a little breather after the last month’s storyline with this subdued countryside scene. We’ll be back to usual shenanigans next week!
Quackers comic 06-24-26

A single panel with a more painterly look than normal.
Jason, Tom, and their pet Scruffy are sat on a rock out in the moors silhouetted by the setting sun. Bunches of Heather grow here and there giving off a flash of purple in the light of the golden hour.

Games Master
Quackers 06-17-26

Panel 1: In close up we see Jason's hand slamming a game cartridge into his old console with a loud 'CHACK'. The cart has a picture of a lion in blue armour, with sword and shield. "I think we should kick this retro gaming session off with a quick blast through 'Dungeon Champ'!" says Jason.

Panel 2: Jason has a controller in hand and looks back toward Tom, who's stood looking rather unimpressed.
"Y'know I was amazing at these old games as a duckling!" brags Jason. "I memorised all the secrets, the enemy attacks, and special moves."
"Good to know your youth wasn't completely wasted," replies Tom, sarcastically.

Panel 3: We see a shot of the game. A blocky lion knight in blue armour stands raising a sword to the sky, a pixelated background shows some ruined pillars and a city in the distance. The word 'START' floats on the screen.

Panel 4: The lion knight is immediately bonked on the head by a bone thrown by a nearby skeleton enemy. 'LIFE LOST' appears on screen as the life counter ticks down.
"Did you just die at the first enemy?" asks Tom.
"I'm just a little out of practice is all!" rebuts Jason, testily.

Panel 5: We see Jason looking very frustrated and angered as he hammers away at the controller. Behind him the words 'You Died', 'Life Lost', and 'Try Again?' overlap as he dies over and over again.
'GAME OVER' fills the panel above Jason's head.

Panel 6: Jason sits leaning forward on the sofa while Tom sits on the arm. "Truly masterful," Tom comments with a wry smile.
"It must have picked up some glitches with age!" says Jason.
"That makes two of you." Tom retorts.

Working on some character designs for this week’s comic. Got a choice of three potential adventurers for one of Jason’s old games but I’m struggling to pick one! Kinda partial to the lion or goat, but what do you guys think? Who would you want to play as in an old school dungeon platformer? 🦁🐶🐐
Work in progress character designs of a retro video game player character. Testing out the design of the species, a lion, a goat, and a dog, all replete in similar armour and holding a sword.
The lion is in blue armour with red tabard and helmet frill, and is the only one holding a shield.
The goat is in green armour with gold accents, but has no helmet or shield.
The dog has yellow fur, blue armour with darker blue accents, and a red helmet frill.
But which cute character do I add to this week’s comic?!?

8/8 Our final game is "Fetch!" Some kind of sports game, I reckon. Mash the buttons to fetch the stick! Enjoyed making this one, especially the main doggo character (you'd have several dogs to choose in-game). Tried to keep it as simple - but eye-catching - as possible, like sports games of old.
Fake box art for a game titled "Fetch!" A brown cartoon anthropomorphic dog runs after a cartoon stick through a simple cartoon park. The title sits at the top of the image in embossed yellow text.

7/8 "Lair of the Goblin" I see this as an action RPG/platformer mix. But are you the goblin, or are you an invading adventurer? Had fun creating the little piggy goblin for this one. Used a painterly style (it's an adventure game after all), but kept it simple and more cartoony.
Fake game box art for "Lair of the Goblin". A small, green pig-like goblin stands in the entrance of a cave brandishing a wooden club and a metal shield. Bushes grow at either side of the cave mouth and a grass plain makes up the floor. The game's title sits below the image in chiselled silver letters.

6/8 "Dump the Junk", another Game & Watch style game with silhouetted artwork. In it you're dumping rubbish falling from various places above the level to one of two piles at either edge of the screen. I thought a racoon character made a good choice for this one.
A pastiche of Game & Watch box art, a green background highlights a silhouetted spindly racoon character throwing a rubbish bin's contents onto a pile on the floor. The title "Dump the Junk" is displayed in the upper right corner.

5/8 "Dodge That Truck!" I imagine this being like a Frogger style game, but the box art had to be more dramatic, yet cheap looking. And so we have a speeding truck in a lineless art style. Absolutely no info on the gameplay, the title does all the heavy lifting, as many 80's games did.
Fake game box art. A simple image of a speeding truck. An abstract road and blue background have a red coloured truck towing a blue trailer as dark smoke billows out of the exhaust. It's in a lineless art stye with subtle gradients. The words of the fake game's title "Dodge That Truck!" are imposed over the trailer in yellow.

4/8 "Box Stacker". I wanted to include a couple of 'Game & Watch' styles games in the mix, and the title of this one seemed perfect for that gameplay. A simple LCD style silhouetted character (some unnamed dog) and a bunch of boxes. What else do you need?
Fake game box art featuring a green background with a black silhouetted character. The dog character looks stressed and is flailing their limbs as some box-like silhouettes next them fall over. The title "Box Stacker" is on the left in top-down text which is equally as wobbly as the boxes.

3/8 Next up, "Yamamoto's Biscuit". Can't do a pastiche of 80's/90's gaming without a Yoshi rip-off. A puzzle game with biscuits (cos I'm British & cookies are their own thing here). Wanted a lizardy mascot, but not a dino, so went with a happy gator. Even made my own brush for Yoshi-style outlines.
A fake game's box art parodying 'Yoshi's Cookie'. Bright orange writing spells out "Yamamoto's Biscuit" and a happy looking cartoon alligator stands holding a baking tray with a big jammy biscuit on it. Other biscuits and pastries fall all around the gator.

2/8 Box 2 is for "Slippy Slope" an early 8bit game. Simple gameplay of your character sliding down many slopes avoiding obstacles, reminiscent of early NES games. I wanted to make something harking back to the very first NES boxes with the blocky images and mid-80's aesthetic.
Fake box art for the equally fake game "Slippy Slope". A blue background features a small square cut-out in which the main art resides. It is a simple, blocky image of a man in blue clothes and wearing a blue helmet is sliding down a red slope towards some blocky 8bit water. Above him an abstract brown circular thing in falling with him (possibly representing a log?). The top corner of the box has a yellow banner with the words "Gamemax Gaming" in it. At the bottom of the box art emblazoned in gold-yellow is an explosion icon with the word "Acton" next to it, and a question mark next to the word "Puzzles". A 'GAMEMAX OFFICIAL' gold and white seal featuring a trophy icon sits in the bottom right corner.

Starting a little thread of box art seen in this week's comic. First up "The Myth of Wanda"; Quackers' version of Zelda games. They feature a parrot questing to rescue Princess Wanda. The series has been mentioned in previous episodes. Did a more painterly style in homage to the first Zelda games.
Digital painting of a sheathed stubby sword lying under a purple coloured shield on a green background. The shield has gold inlays featuring three diamonds stacked together, and a bird-like emblem underneath. The title "The Myth of Wanda" is imprinted above the image in yellow.

Choices, Choices
Quackers comic 06-10-26

Panel 1: Jason and Tom are in the living room. Jason's old games console sits on the coffee table surrounded by joypads and game boxes. We hear a 'da-ding' come from the TV as the logo of the console appears on the screen.
Jason throws his arms up in the air in triumph. "Woohoo!" he shouts, "We finally got my old console hooked up to the TV!"

Panel 2: "Now we just need to pick a game to play," says Jason as he picks up a couple of boxes from the table. "Let's see, what do we have here..."

Panel 3: We see several game boxes with varying art styles and levels of quality strewn throughout the panel as Jason reads out titles from the long list of games he owns.
"There's The Myth of Wanda, Yamamoto's Biscuit, Slippy Slope, Blaster Dude, Dino Fright, Pizza Boy, Pellet Panic, Lair of the Goblin, Pillow fort, Dodge That Truck!, Math Magician, Helihover, Fetch!, Box Stacker, Tea Tracker, Dumpling Defender, or Dump the Junk."

Panel 4: Tom stares down at Jason - now sat on the floor - with a distasteful expression on his face as he holds a couple of the games in his hooves.
"What?" asks Jason as he looks up at Tom. "We had to be a lot less picky about the kind of games we bought back then!"

This week's comic is going to be pretty late today. Basically had to do the equivalent of eight paintings as well as the usual comic panels and it's taking forever to put it all together! 😭 I'll post it once it's finished, but look out for a repost tomorrow to catch those that miss it tonight.

Blargg!
Fan art of a group of yoshis in peril. Green yoshi is hanging from the edge of a cliff over the gaping maw of a nep-enuts (water blargg). Yellow yoshi is trying to help pull Green up while Orange yoshi flails their arms and cries in a panic.

Making A Connection.
Quackers comic 06-03-26

Panel 1: Jason and Tom stand in the living room staring at the coffee table. Atop the table is Jason's old games console with two controllers attached. Cables are strewn about the table, hanging from the ceiling and connected to all manner of adaptors, including an old retro looking machine with vacuum tubes.
"Ok, we've managed to jury-rig a connection from my old games console to the TV." annoucnes Jason as Tom looks on, unimpressed.

Panel 2: "...So with a flick of this switch..." say Jason as we see him close-up slide the console's power switch to 'ON'.

Panel 3: The boys are taken aback as static flares up on the TV screen, the vacuum tubes on the odd machine glow white hot, and one of the connectors pops and fizzles with electrical discharge.

Panel 4: With a 'THUNK' all the lights go off and the boys are plunged into darkness.

Panel 5: "Hmmm..." ponders Jason as he looks at the now aflame adaptor on the table. "Y'know, I'm not entirely sure we got that right." he says, finishing his thought.
Tom simply puts his head in his hoof in exasperation, lit by the glow of the adaptor fire.

One Duck’s Junk Drawer…
Quackers comic 05-27-26

Panel 1: Jason odd in the living room attaching cables to his newly re-discovered childhood games console.
“OK, this plugs in here, so once I connect it to the TV this old console should be…”

Panel 2: “…huh…” mumbled Jason as he peers at the back of the TV and the modern hdmi ports. He holds a bizarre looking a/v plug the size of a small brick. “Didn’t account for some weird old 80’s plug out TV don’t use. Maybe I have something in my junk drawer that’ll help!”

Panel 3: Jason and Tom are in the basement as Jason rifles through a set of drawers. Masses of cables, odd bits of technology, and random objects litter the place.
“If we use this to connect to that adaptor and then bridge that with the cable over there…” mumbles Jason.
“Why do you even have all this stuff?!” Tom asks exasperatedly, while draped in random cables, and holding various adaptors.
“In case of emergencies,” replies Jason.

Panel 4: Tom scowls at Jason and the pile of random bits and bobs on the countertop. “What emergency could possibly need six random charges from the 1990’s, a pocket calculator, and a golf ball?”
“What if we meet a time-travelling golfer who needs help with his taxes and has to charge his phone?” Jason sincerely replies. “What?” he adds “It could happen!”

Someone’s not happy with their change in diet.
A cartoon gator stands looking very unimpressed with the box of vegan burgers he’s holding. He does not like his new diet.

Nostalgia Get!
Quackers comic 05-20-26

Panel 1: Tom is sat on the living room sofa as Jason burst through the door. “Hey, look what I found on the attic!” Jason says as he brandishes a grey boxy object in front of him.
“What in the Great Llama’s fluffy ear muffs is that thing?” Tom asks, bemused.

Panel 2: With a great huff, Jason blows on the object. All manner of dust and cobwebs are thrown into the air and revealing black plastic underneath.

Panel 3: The words “Da na na naa!” appear and the newly revealed plastic box floats above Jason’s outstretched arms. It has dental buttons and a faux wooden finish on one of the upper panels. “It’s my old gaming console from when I was a ducking!” Jason exclaims excitedly.

Park 4: We see Tom on the sofa covered in dust and cobwebs and looking rather unimpressed. Seeing Tom, Jason sheepishly says “Oh! Eh-heh… It’s kinda dusty up in the attic. We should probably clean it more often.”
“You don’t say?!” replies Tom through gritted teeth.

Aches And Gains
Quackers comic 05-13-26

Panel 1: Tom and Jason are in the gym. Tom leans against the wall, rosy cheeked and happily out of breath. Jason is doubled over, his break red, sweat dripping everywhere and huffing with exhaustion.

Panel 2: “Eugh! Why does this exercise malarkey have to be so hard going?” complains Jason as he tries to smooth out his head feathers.

Panel 3: “Oh, come on now,” begins Tom, “Just think of all the gains!“ Tom playfully nudge Jason in the arm with his elbow.

Panel 4: “Oh, there are gains alright!” complains Jason. Tom looks on pitifully as Jason point to parts of his abdomen as well as behind his back with his thumb. “I’ve gained an ache here, a bit of a limp there, and a twinge somewhere in the back!”
