"A visitor from another world?!" Saffire got a little skeptical, leaning down and looking at the other, his snout almost touching the other. "... You don't look like you're from another world, but I know that aliens do exist, my mate is from another world!"

“Huh?! Even other humans from around the work know about Digimon! We’re all over the place!” Not exactly, fewer than a million Digimon reside on Earth itself. Depending when one lives, under the rock analogy isn’t far too off. But Ben was not from this place.

“You know, Digimon! I’m one, the other Digimon you see walking among the humans here are all Digimon. You know about us right? Surely you haven’t been living under a rock!” He wouldn’t know that Ben is currently a newcomer here, which he is heavily assuming at the moment.

The society in question? It was still Earth. Kyoto, Japan to be exact. Humans were present, but not the only ones, another species were also among them, digital species known as Digimon. Saffire was walking among them, headphones on, casual clothing, he was dressed like young College student with -

“Don’t be a stranger, then! You know where to find me!” Just as Saffire spoke, he got a notification on his phone. He checked it out, only to see it was an up front offering for a job in the evening. “… Hmm, we should depart. I just made lunch money for the week. Grehehe.”

000

"Hmm? No, of course not. Yet, I do think you have a chance on the Digital Force Unit. Same time, you're not "living" on Earth, but you do commute to it a lot." Said the digimon. "I just believe our best chances of survival is to make sure every Digimon is in top shape."

Saffire was beginning to notice that, a little irritating on his eyes knowing it's more so for Ein and his habit of sleeping a lot. He then sees how Ein found his guantlets. "Oh good, now not to ask you if they work in here, but can you defend yourself with them on?"

Saffire paused and had thought of it, was trying to see himself as priest or an exorcist? Ironically, even if that could have been a suitable replacement, he has more control over his current line of work. "Hmm, maybe. It's like I said, I have a lot of say with what's occurring with me in that -

Since there was so much to know about the ship, the hybrid would come back to the couch and have a seat. He looked more around the apartment, seeing anything interesting about it. “I wonder if there’s more places like this, would make a suitable home for more Digimon.”

"Perhaps, though my apartment is much larger. You likely don't have to pay monthly to keep it do, you?" Saff asked as he still looked around, soon finding himseld on the couch of the apartment. "That ship outside, what is it exactly?"

000

Saffire Ryuuzaki 🍵 @digitalmutantxv.bsky.social · 24/02/2026

"Really now? How do you get the money to afford it? Do you just... Magically convert it or something?" That's what Saffire mostly was referring to, he had to work like the rest of the humans to keep his place. Sometimes, it was hard for digimon to get normal jobs that weren't weightlifting.

000

Saffire Ryuuzaki 🍵 @digitalmutantxv.bsky.social · 24/02/2026

"Well, just you know... Seems as though, living in different societies have their pros and cons. Living in the Digital World is like trying to survive in an apocalypse, even if it is getting better. Living in the human world means dealing with societal norms like paying monthly bills."
