iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

whatever ends up happening or not happening with my career and school after i graduate, i'll be able to look back and say i'm proud of what i did in college. i never thought i would end up in this position or that i would be physically and mentally able to do what i do. i love proving myself wrong

god i'm so grateful for the opportunities i've been given this school year. i get to work with the most wonderful staff, professors, and fellow interns, and it's been so amazing. i'm very very busy but i'm having so much fun and learning a ton

i feel very fortunate to have these opportunities, i'm just gonna be busyyyy. haven't had much time to draw at all lately, but i'm feeling very enriched by school rn

so i now, on top of my full time class schedule, have two jobs associated with my major. meaning i probably won't be able to reopen comms or even post much at all until... i wanna say winter break but i'm gonna be away for a lot of it 😭 we'll see. i still gotta finish up my current queue first

probably once i get through my current queue and some of the school things i'm stressing about calm down/get fixed, which i believe they will soon! i'm going to talk to my advisor tomorrow! :'3

hi, sorry this is abrupt but comms are closed for now~ the beginning of the semester has been in equal parts very fun and very stressful for many different reasons, and i don't believe i can handle more than the queue i have at the moment. thanks for understanding, they'll reopen soon <3

it is actually pretty freeing to keep your phone on do not disturb and only check for things like discord notifications when you want to rather than having them thrown at you

almost every piece of art i've made and posted here (with the exception of the occasional ipad or traditional drawing) was made dealing with this issue. it's such a massive deal for me that this is fixed now, i can't put my sincere relief into words 😭😭 ahh thank fuck

so so so happy i can keep using my cheap ass decades old model of tablet that i've been using since i was a kid (not the exact same tablet from back then, just the same model i keep re buying cuz it works and i'm used to it and people sell it for like 10-15 bucks without the pen and cords xD)

sam 🦴 @digitaldoggi.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

the underlying problem was a bug with how the tablet works, BUT there were options (which were not supposed to be on at all, like, they were checked boxes but grayed out in a way that was supposed to mean "this won't happen") that i was able to unselect and this completely fixed the issue!!

sam 🦴 @digitaldoggi.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

in short the issue was that the buttons on it i had mapped to do things like undo and redo were doing things like minimizing windows, switching desktops, etc sometimes. it really interrupted my flow to have to constantly reopen windows and switch desktops back

i finally figured out how to fix a major issue i was having with my tablet and i am SO happy and relieved, drawing is going to be a lot easier and likely quicker now!!

kinktober list edited to my liking!! it's not necessarily that i'm uncomfortable with everything that's crossed out, those are mainly just ones i didn't feel like doing :3 i'm gonna try to do them every day even if some of the days are just little doodles! <3
