The last one of the victims died in the early ‘40s, iirc. The Meaher family, descendants of the criminal who organized it, are doing pretty well in the area today. There’s a good documentary- Descendant - on the story streaming on Netflix.

People are really getting hung up on the word “allege” which is just accurate reporting when it’s hasn’t yet been corroborated/verified. I understand the outrage. But getting this worked up over a single word is more the mentality - and injustice - of an angry mob.

No. The war powers act just calls for notice etc after, iirc. I get why the office of the president is given wide latitude and a fairly free hand to act quickly. The issue comes when the potus is the polar opposite of thoughtful/considered. Iran isn’t just going to take this with no response.
