Despite using plenty of mulch, we're having a hard time keeping moisture in the raised beds. Luckily, the dill, oregano, and thyme are doing well! 🌱✨ #MulchMatters #RaisedGardenBeds #MoistureRetention #HerbGarden #Dill #Oregano #Thyme #GardeningTips 🌱✨

Broad beans are coming on brilliantly, but there’s a few gaps so I’ve popped a few more in-between. I’m sure they’ll catch up. #allotmentlife

Sow in small batches. Succession beats overwhelm. Plant a row every couple of weeks instead of all at once. Better harvests, less waste. Sarah 🌻

Start where you are. Plant what you can. You don’t need a perfect plot. Use the space you’ve got and improve it bit by bit. Sarah 🌻

Have held off this year but we have now sown, peppers, chillies, cauliflowers, chamomile, aubergine, beetroot, cabbage, chard, zinnia, marrow and sunflowers. Some of them just a punt with old seeds. More to come!

The onion sets are in, I've covered them over for now to stop the birds tugging them out. As soon as they're established, I'll use the covers elsewhere. I'm growing around 150 including Red Winter, Senshyu Yellow & Radar 🧅

Ten minutes of weeding now saves an hour later. Do a small section at a time and don’t let it build up. It’s easier to maintain than rescue. Sarah 🌻

Label your seeds properly. Future you will be grateful. Date them. Variety name. Sowing location. You won’t remember otherwise! Sarah 🌻
