I swear to GOD im not trying to be contrarian I'm just. like. I don't know gimme some extra spice here!!! if it's too fluffy it feels sickly icing sweet, I need some conflict. i need soulmates that yeah they BELONG to each other but my god they'd probably be happier if they weren't (jmart to me)

I was about to go on about my own personal issues and things I wish people considered with Jon/Martin but I'm gonna start sounding like this so I'm gonna quit yapping lmao

Sorry this kind of became my place to yap about malevolent stuff bc im too scared to do so on tumblr lmfao

Like there's "Oh well I fucked up but yk at the end of the day we can work past this.", vs "I have done something so irrevocably horrible to you that for the rest of our lives I will never be able to forgive myself for the way I hurt you" that will uh. Yeah. Make you be nicer to them real quick

As someone who has GIGA ULTRA OMEGA fucked up relationships by being a complete moron, and that was just from being, like, an asshole, I can imagine "I created a bone cathedral out of every version of you I could get my hands on" would make you feel pretty fucking guilty for like. Ever

Ive been seeing a few people saying that they feel like John's been "defanged" or that he's lost his spine or whatever in threshold, that he's too relenting to Arthur now and like. idk. I think that's just bc he's experiencing what might be called Baby's First Overwhelming Sense of Guilt

1st time he tries its like every 5 minutes after saying the most depraved dark insane shit he can think of he keeps being, like, "... Like that, right? That sounded good didn't it?" And this is like the 9th time he's asked

Ty for the high honor of ur praise. More coming soon via my pointless fanfic in which Arthur tells John that he actually thinks that, like, his writing is derivative because he's been tired of John talking about his fanmail for the umpteenth time (he refuses to be honest about being jealous) /silly

In general I like that Arthur is kind of pretentious, and arrogant, and can be a "know it all", and likes to feel a little smarter than others, and maybe he thinks it's fun making the being that exists with him get mad because getting mad feels better than getting vulnerable even though he loves him

my maybe unpopular Malevolent thoughts: •Arthur is a sadist (he feels guilty about it but like. It's There) •I sometimes think Noel/Arthur is just kinda like. Idk. It's the "happily ever after" ship. I need some spice (angst) •I like Arthur and John better as 1 person than John getting his own body

one day I'll be brave enough to post about it on my main on tumblr, but I lowkey wish more people went over how Arthur is a teensy weensie bit of a sadist. As a treat

Angy is Absolutely my favorite. Bug-like Johns are always top tier and I love seeing him make his tendrils look like two scary spider fangs <33 (and invitation is 2nd ofc. Arthur the lucky man that you are)

Finally managed to finish my simplified John ( #kinginyellow ) design. Well "finish". I'm still playing with the bottom of his robes. I spent some time making a mockup in Nomad to help me figure out his shapes since I'm not good at simplifying things in 2D so bonus render. #MalevolentPodcast

A kiy design I did based on the book. I know they only mention the robe and pallid mask, but I wanted to include other features that were said online #kinginyellow #hastur #thekinginyellow
