Dropping off the votefwd.org letters today to encourage others to vote. Good way to avoid the "doomies" and do something. Do some tonight, big mail day is tomorrow. Great way to watch a football game.

Some countries have joined the developed world while many others remain in poverty. Why can’t they just “do what South Korea did”? @dietzvollrath.bsky.social explains why that question is so flummoxing to economists, and why we shouldn’t lose hope finding the answer: buff.ly/3NdpBE5

For real, the new book is out. Just in time for the holidays. Make sure your kids don’t miss out.

Am currently rerunning an entire project of mine from the beginning to confirm it replicates. Pray for me.

Tree over our driveway is making a natural eclipse filter. This is about 50%, we are headed towards about 90% at noon in Houston.

New version of our Introduction to Economic Growth textbook (with Chad Jones) is ready for your massive orders. Check out: wwnorton.com/books/978132... Basic structure is the same, but new approaches to teaching Solow, Romer, and Schumpeterian models and a bunch of new applications.

Yes yes yes yes yes! Hard to think of anyone who is more deserving: Claudia’s work (on gender and beyond) is so important and a huge inspiration for many of us! Also hard to think of anyone who is more supportive, welcoming, or thoughtful. Huge congratulations to Claudia!

Super pumped. Got a wristband for big reveal of new Acemoglu, Chetty, List paper tonight. Not sure if I’ll push up front or just stay with the lawn chairs in back. Rock and roll!

Well, I guess I’m over here now on the new venue for #EconTwitter. It remains the case that your pet policy idea will not materially affect the growth rate.
