When I did my first ever weeks of night s shifts years ago, I was paranoid that I wouldn't get enough sleep in the day and I had bad sleep. As soon as I decided not to care about it, I slept for 8 hours.

Keep me posted (pun!) on your progress with Resolve. Let me know if you help. I use Resolve to both online and colour grade, sometimes on consecutive days, same show. I feel like it would make everything much simpler for me if it had been used for offline too.

I started a thread about Avid on LinkedIn. Lots of interesting (and opposing) opinions there. I haven't ever used Avid enough to really know for sure but I've always found it difficult. There aren't really any Avid-specific functions that make it great are there?

I've always found these really uncomfortable! Most likely because I can't work them properly, is there a trick to tilting the seat slightly forward? I never have time to read the manual for the chair when I enter an edit suite!

What's the mouse? I tried a few app on Mac to try to make a magic mouse work better with Resolve. They might work for you - if I can remember the app ... I gave up with the magic mouse

I was once contacted out of the blue and got a very lucrative gig and I once responded to something and got some other good work. I know what you mean though. Slow burn, helps keeps you up to date with what's going on so it has its uses, if limited.

And make sure your rendered delivery has a version number that matches a sequence (timeline). As soon as I've sent GRADE_01, I copy/rename the timeline to GRADE_02 for any further revisions.

If you went into Fusion on the clip on the timeline then you can just go back to the timeline and F to match frame. If you added other MediaIn nodes it's not so easy - you'd need to look at the MediaIn clip info and also the Trim in frame count

I hadn't quite realised the system there was so different to the UK set up. I think the cabinet ministers are almost always elected Members of Parliament. There are un-elected 'advisors' though which seems a bit dodgy.
