I'm still around folks! Been busy and it'll be a short while longer at least from the looks of things, but I'll post more regularly, sometime, eventually🫡 Wanted to do more paintings first, too, but yowza they're time consuming, still being so new and all. Those'll have to wait longer still😓

I'm endlessly bugged that the version I uploaded didn't have the corners of the attached image smoothed off. They were supposed to be smooth. They're not smooth. Sharp. Not smooth 😭

I sorta kinda in-a-way already did for a private comm a while ago. Be neat to revisit sometime if I could make something more interesting out of it... maybe I ought to get back into painting 😩

I'm with joy to hear it🙏 I get what you mean. Illustrations, prose and the like can be more consistently full of atmosphere and character and have appealing styles Meanwhile, finding matching photos by good photographers that make for an interesting composition together takes a long, long time...

I got to work on da spooky banner! Here's something even spookier: the blender viewport🤓😨🎃 Fiddling around with the brushstrokes addon again. A while ago I was working on an animation project with a big office lady using the same workflow, I swear I'll finish it. Someday. Sooner or later....😩

That video would be useful for when I go smaller. Very pretty Agree it ain't the focal point, but it does look a little goofy. I see what's wrong, I even had a grid set up to follow (then promptly didn't). I just couldn't be asked to go back by then, having merged all the layers and painted on top😅

Diccard @diccard.bsky.social · 01/09/2025

It's nice that when I mess up the perspective here - parts of the city are very funky -- it's looks charming rather than outright bad 😅

210

Diccard @diccard.bsky.social · 01/09/2025

Photoshop with custom brushes and smudge presets. There are surely better choices... but it's what I'm used to. The compositing experience helps, perspective and rendering transfer over pretty well. I *do* have a studio where I develop the film photos I capture in the Big Lady dimension, actually
