I also did not say everyone was complacent, but to many who I have chatted with over the last decade vs 20 - 30 years ago, once marriage equality happened, they no longer care

Sadly too many people chose the “it doesn’t affect me” role once marriage equality happened. Even after we said we still needed to be a part of the fight. It never changed. People just became complacent.
