When I read Jane Doe’s story, it was almost identical to the stories in Fraternity Gang Rape by Peggy Reeves Sanday, published 2007. Every thing is premeditated and done the same exact way it was done in previous decades. There are codes, tricks, and formulas passed down generation after generation.

The movie’s extras’ passive compliance is what I keep going back to most. The scene of the couple fighting but abruptly stopping to get their eyes scanned by the cop robots and then resuming their fight was comical in the theater as a kid and now is incredibly chilling.

Once, being in a union or a govt job meant you got a pension in addition to social security when you retired and you could retire at an age where you’d still be able to enjoy your life. Younger generations have to pay for mismanaged pensions of elders but will likely not get pensions themselves.
