Likes and big followings really do not coordinate with how well someone is doing. You can get a lot of interest for something you've made through likes and comments and it seldom turns into material support. A lot of your faves are struggling

Finding out from one of my ADs that I will have to think about getting a us agent in order to work with them because I'm not based in the US makes me sad. It's disheartening. There should not be this many barriers to work in illustration.

Having a day job has improved my mental health immensely. Am I drawing more? no. I am less stressed though and so I have been drawing with a lot less pressure. It's also nice to not have your self-worth be tied to your creative output. Even if I can't do art full-time right now, it's okay.

Ageing means you learn how those aunties and uncles end up becoming people that do qigong in the park. I'm sure they were once reluctant youths who didn't listen to their elders and then as they aged ended up just trying every possible thing to find some ease in their ageing bodies. It is me now
