In this period of time filled with AI stupidity, let's celebrate those we are not celebrating enough: Art supporters, Art commissioners THANK YOU! Thanks to YOU, many artists can do what they do the best and keep being productive but most importantly Artists can LIVE!

First week at my new job and I have to call in sick today :( aaa the guilt over what a horrible impression it gives. But I'll take the guilt over that rather than sneezing and coughing all over the place and getting other ppl sick.

If you see this, quote with your Night/Dark art.

Illustration of a large caped figure looming over the land, stars are flowing out of the cape.
Text at the bottom of the image:
The Night and her Star Children.

A forgotten goddess, the Night is constantly flowing and moving over the earth with her black sky cape. Her children spreading far and wide, bringing sleep and dreams to whomever invites them. Sometimes her children stray too far for too long and become corrupted. Dreams turning into nightmares until they return to her heart to be reborn.

Combined two older unfinished procreate artworks into one and I liked the result. 😊 #art

a fairy like human shaped creature shining brightly and sparkling over a body of water. Flower petals are flowing away almost like the creature bursted out of a flower. The colors and layout are reminiscent of anime transformation sequences.

Just a tip for everyone. Sunrise have been celebrating it's 50th by having a livestream where they show the first episode of a whole lot of anime. It's not subtitled but it's very nice to have on while working/getting a look at some old classics and rarer stuff. ♡ www.youtube.com/live/anU3MhE...

It's been tough losing all my current in progress art, and i've been sorta depressed about that. Lesson learned, i will come up with a better way of exporting and backing up my work on the ipad. Sadly the deadline for the scholarship work is going to have to be pushed to october probably.

Procreate glitched when i was backing up my work and it deleted my most important stack (the one with the as yet not backed up work and work im currently working on) I'm going to run a recovery program but I don't have hope. More than 40 files. I'm devastated....

Digital painting of Anireal's OC Echeveria. A dryad-esk humanoid covered in leaves. Her chest is glowing hot orange as several large screws are piereced through her torso. Golden sap bleeds down these screws flowing into a river of blood. She sits sorrounded plantlife holding out her left arm to point outwards towards the viewer, while glaring with piercing yellow eyes.

For your convenience, the Pride and Prejudice live-posting super-thread 📚

A drawing of Elizabeth Bennet, a lovely young woman with her long hair tied up nearly under a ribbon and wearing what is most likely a neo-classically inspired dress, looking pensive, two letters in her hand. Meanwhile Darcy, a handsome but stern-looking fellow, looks longingly at her. Also there is me, a little gremlin in big round glasses, skulking about in the background and hoping that they kiss.

The accompanying text reads “Trung reads Pride and Prejudice for the first time, somehow.”

Wanted to make a page with references and backstory for all my characters and got stuck making a new and proper version of a 2016 small sketch of my character Aria. The sketch is not good but it conveys what feeling and light I wanted it to have. #art #wip #ocs

Old small rough sketch from 2016. My character Aria is is sitting on a treestump, while an owl is about to land on her outstretched hand.

Screengrab from procreate of the new version. Lines and rough values for the light composition. My character Aria is sitting on a treestump, while an owl is about to land on her arm.

Lynda Barry did not squeeze your heart and simultaneously explain the point of all art with the barest of line drawings so you could tell me that AI is "inevitable."

HOW TO LOOK AT ART by Lynda Barry

In the first panel, a dog-headed woman, a mother, looks at a painting in the "Madonna with Baby Jesus" vein. A small blobby child is standing next to her.

Mother: IM NOT SURE HOW TO LOOK AT ART.
Child: WHATS SPOSTA HAPPEN?

In the second panel the dog-headed mother holds up her hands (paws?) trying to explain to the child.

Mother: SOMETHING BIG. A REVELATION.
SUDDENLY YOU JUST UNDERSTAND.

In the third panel dog-headed mother goes back to looking at the painting. The child holds up their arms to be lifted.

Mother: NOT SURE HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN
Child: HOW BOUT LIFT ME UP SO I CAN SEE BETTER

In the last panel, the dog-headed mother is holding the child, their position mirrored by the Madonna and baby Jesus in the painting.

Made a terrible comic about how much I like my character! Trying not to let her head get too big about it, though. #MakeATerribleComicDay2026 #viktormonart

Doodle comic in four panels featuring Mira, a short woman with spiky anime hair and a big scar on her forehead and thick eyebrows.
Panel 1: Narration: "Mira is my my favorite character I've made". Mira, looking proud: "Hell yeah I am!"
Panel 2: Narration: "Not only is she fun to draw, she's very active, strong and expressive!" Mira, looking squished and smug from the praise: "Hehe. Keep going!"
Panel 3: Narration: "She comes alive and has surprised me with her choices in aegis (for sale in sweden NOW!)." Mira, looking extra fancy with flower petals blowing through her hair: "I'm so very complex."
Panel 4: Narration: "Ok, enough glazing, back to your story!" Mira, getting picked up by a big hand by her pants and getting dangled above an open manga book, struggling: "Huh? Wait! WAIT!!"
