If you’re a person with disabilities, and especially if you have autism, please try and save some spoons for tomorrow. Be gentle with yourself. Take breaks. Rest and recharge. Whatever big announcement RFK Jr & Trump have planned will no doubt harm our community… so let’s look out for one another.

Want some simple ways to resist fascism? Wear a mask. Donate to mutual aid. Go to a local library. Support community fridges and food banks. Plant a garden. Deliver groceries. Provide a ride to and from doctors appts. Participate in neighbourhood ICE watch. Show up for others.

It’s not lazy to rest. It’s not wrong to prioritize your health and well being. Capitalism and ableism have trained us to view slowing down as a failure. We treat disabled people, children and the elderly as expendable. We assign worth based on productivity. It’s wrong. We all have value.

A lot of people are posting about how every life is sacred and deserves to be protected. These same people stopped wearing masks the moment the government told them “only the vulnerable” were at risk. Disabled people have been begging you to care about our lives for years… and it’s crickets.

Its been 1 year for me since last September. Im waiting on a wheelchair and actively looking for housing, and lawyers for SSDI. Curious on how moving states works with it too. Looking to move somewhere that is more accessible than having to couch surf.

I would say its as good as i can get, with how much resistance i get from doctors. Tho really enjoy my LC doc that wears a mask on video lol So im getting there, but it is baby steps as i get further isolated from all but 1 of my HC workers. the lack of risk management in those places is killing me

NICE tho I reccomend wearing a N95 or better rated mask in America. Especially for a disability justice event. As to represent disabled.folks that cant be there due to the high rates of covid (1:37 in Washington state) due to how covid further disables humans to this day www.pmc19.com/data/index.php

Another thing to add The harmful care, healthcare workers have for patients so affected by covid. As we struggle with the burden of covid Majority of the healthcare workers I see for long covid related comorbidities cant even offer to put a surgical mask on. As they great the risk of getting covid..

Doing small tasks is super draining. Even just thinking about them can be too overwhelming and cause flairs for my body. I have been personally unhoused due to what long covid has done to my body. Its real depressing and sometimes i fear that this burden will become too much to handel

What a well needed topic to talk about! Glad you are able to get some kind of support with your long covid symptoms! Ive been fortunate enough to have help from my partner, and friends so far. Struggling to get out of bed most days, needing to meal prep for weeks ahead and limited ability to shower

I’ve posted about this before, but one of the worst manifestations of long COVID I live with is that, when I either don’t get enough sleep or get too stressed out, my lower legs go numb. The only thing I can really do about it is lay in bed until I can feel my lower legs again.

I'm so fucking sick of seeing these posts from liberals panicking about the availability of COVID vaccines when almost none of them are wearing N95s. If you're not masking, you've likely been infected multiple times. The vaccine prevents you from dying outright, not catching it and spreading it.

You should be more maksed than they arey those polyester mesh masks they wear can break apart their respiratory droplets more, resulting in a further spread of covid or other respiratory spread illnesses. Covid is 1:56 so watch out and mask up my friend

got a new unlocked tutorial up: ko-fi.com/post/How-To-... QUICK COVID MASK SETUP! this is the tech i use to make my masks fit BETTER and MORE COMFORTABLE! works on anything with a clip in the nose 💜🌈😷 #magentaskull please mask
how to quickly customize the clip of any mask for better fit--- step 1, take that triangle and unfold it flat. step 2, take that flat nose and put a crimp in it a few cm on each side [to your bridge size, you'll figure it out] step 3 is fold up the sides of the longer flaps of the clip so the mask will hug tighter to your cheeks!

I would agree with this, however your local community, city, county, or state may peak at a different time. There are definitely still places that are rising. US COVID levels may be peaking, CDC data show www.cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/us-...

Covid is 1:56 in america. Wear a mask, to stop the spread. YES even if you're not sick or disabled. Which tbh, we are all disabled under this authoritarian regime. So wear a n95 or better rated mask if you want to survive God fucking damnit.!? www.pmc19.com/data/index.php

Disability is not a choice. It’s not a punishment or a moral failing. It’s not a vacation. It’s not a free ride. It’s an unrelenting 24/7 job. It’s suffering, gaslighting, neglect and poverty. It’s hard work. No one is immune. Disability comes for almost everyone eventually.

For other Washington folks troubled (if not surprised) by the CDC's COVID-19 wastewater tracker not being updated in weeks, the WA Department of Health has a tracker for the state here (scroll down). If folks have other suggestions for tracking COVID levels here and elsewhere, replies appreciated.
