As a high school teacher for 32 years I agree with your assessment on what makes good schools. Parent involvement and support is so very important to student achievement. We have a saying, “a successful student more often than not has parents supporting and holding their kid accountable”.

Native Texan here. I am optimistic that Talarico will in fact beat Paxton. But it is going to be close even though Paxton is scum and Ted Cruz is campaigning for him. Cruz generally brings the kiss of death upon anyone he backs.
