The knee-jerk "it's Nazi" reaction to the Space Force uniform is understandable, but the regime's latest fantasy is basically the uniform of numerous evil regimes in science fiction. That's the important connection here--the childish obsession with science fiction fantasies.

We wish it was, but these people don't want to get it. Bigots are attacking Rowling because she understands the difference between sex and gender. But the hatred for JK Rowling is a proxy for a larger hatred for women.

Both sides reduce complexities and subsume individuals under labels. Labels are a big problem. Biology is not absolutely determinative but sex is not gender and gender is a social construction. Also, calling feminists "TERFs" is like calling Black people "racists" for standing up for themselves.
