The union revolts did have an impact. So did the laws brought about by voting in new progressive elected officials such as the Clayton Anti-trust Act, the Interstate Compact, the 16th Amendment which est. an Income Tax, etc., and the policies of McKinley and Roosevelt that help rein in corruption.
The Washington Schoolmaster." An editorial cartoon about the Coal strike of 1902, a strike by the United Mine Workers of America in the anthracite coal fields of eastern Pennsylvania. In the cartoon a sign on the wall states, "Primary Classroom for Coal Barons," and a world map shows a disproportionately large state of Pennsylvania. President Theodore Roosevelt intervened in the strike, and the cartoon depicts him as poised to dole out punishment to industry; he is holding a switch labeled "Federal Authority." Shown on the bench are industry leaders: financier J. P. Morgan; George F. Baer, President of the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad; and two coal company executives, John Markle (G.B. Markle & Co.) and T.P. Fowler (Scranton Coal Co. & Elk Hill Coal & Iron Co.).

The US has literally fixed a similar situation before electorally; it is what ended the first Gilded Age. We actually have a much stronger foundation today to fix the problems we face than people did back then. BUT, we have to not throw up our hands in despair and give up.
Joseph Keppler drew the cartoon, which appeared in Puck on January 23, 1889, showing a door to the gallery, the "people’s entrance," bolted and barred. The galleries stand empty while the special interests have floor privileges, operating below the motto: "This is the Senate of the Monopolists by the Monopolists and for the Monopolists!"

"Catty mean girl" is what initially comes to mind. I think the word that may actually describe him best, though, would be pettifogger. He is petty, underhanded, and disreputable. He uses his Yale legal training to obfuscate American law and what the Trump Administration is doing.

Most from New Mexico are great. (They grow the best chili 🌶️) My go to is El Pinto Salsa. 505 Southwest is also good, but is not salsa, just straight up chili, haha. If you feel adventurous Heidi Farm in New Mexico makes some phenomenal Raspberry Red Chile Jam especially the one that has ginger in it

I love this painting! I agree, Monet does an incredible job at capturing the emotions and transporting you into his painting. I think my favorite Monet is The Japanese Footbridge. It always fills me with a sense of peace and serenity.
A pale turquoise footbridge arching over a pond lined with tall grasses and filled with petal-pink and butter-yellow waterlilies spans this horizontal landscape painting. The scene is loosely painted with touches of vibrant color. In the top third of the composition, the shallowly arched bridge nearly touches the top edge of the canvas, and it extends off each side. The shadows on the bridge are painted with eggplant purple. Bands of waterlilies gently zigzag into the distance on the surface of the water. The spring and emerald-green grasses growing along the banks fill the space around and over the pond, and they blend into a screen of trees beyond that enclose the scene. The green of the grasses and trees is reflected in the surface of the water, as is the underside of the bridge. The artist signed and dated the work with dark paint in the lower right corner: “Claude Monet 99."

I'm so impressed with the amount of muscle Nicholas Galitzine has put on over the last 6 months prepping to play Prince Adam/He-man in the upcoming MOTU movie. I'm going to challenge myself to put on the same amount of muscle over the next 6 months. #He-man #NicholasGalitzine #TheGalitzineChallenge
