Another take of mine that is apparently spicy: People have no idea what whimsy actually means and it fucking shows. Whimsy is commentary. Whimsy is rebellion. Whimsy is political. It is being joyful and imaginative in a world that tries to kill it. You can't have whimsy without that bite.

I watched Deadpool once. Look, it's not like I despise it. I did see why people liked it. But I wouldn't watch it again. It was aggressively mid to me. I think it's mostly because I am a sex-repulsed aroace, so I'm biased against movies having sex scenes by nature.

Might be a hot take, but countries should really require people to be able to pass an A2-B1 (or language level equivalent) test of the local language as a requirement for getting a tourist visa. It would help reduce overtourism, which is harming cities and disrupting lives.

There is no such thing as a useless degree. Education does not and should not need to be a job pipeline for it to have value. Learning in and of itself is value. Study the humanities. Yes, even liberal arts. Note: After you achieve stability, of course.
