The hiatus of Our Home; Eternal has now officially begun. I believe I got the first six pages of chapter 2 completed, but there was still a lot of work to do. But now my digital art supplies are packed, and I won't have access to them until some time in May or June at the earliest.

It definitely has to be Styx Brooks. I can't articulate why, but something about his design is simply satisfying to draw. I think it's something to do with the messy hair + the details. Not too little to be bland, but not too much to make him a pain in the neck to draw.

5 days until the release of Our Home; Eternal! To count it down, I shall answer a question each day. Question 1: Which character is the most fun to draw? Answer is in the thread below! #indiecomic #comicdev #webcomic #superhero #dystopia #ama #qna

Styx Brooks is a blonde teenage boy with brown eyes. He has a massive scar on his cheek and a smaller scar on the right side of his neck. A gemstone occupies the left side of his neck.

He dresses in business casual.

Thank you so much for the sunday artshare, Chey! 🖤✨ Today has been work, work and more work! I hope you got/get to rest well 🖤

Painting of a classroom of anthropomorphic characters as well as one human. There is a fox who is the teacher, a brown mouse student, a blond human student, a bat student, a chameleon student, a hyena student who is asleep on their desk. The focal point of the illustration is on a blue bird passing a note to their blue kobold classmate.

Comic page of a couple of anthropomorphic characters, a blue bird and an otter, at an aquarium

Painting of a bovine anthropomorphic character in full plate armour looking over their shoulder in a field of sunflowers with a bright blue sky.

Painted portrait of Sariel from Ikemen Prince with a snake wrapped around his shoulders. The snake has gold and black scales with orange eyes. A streak of light illuminates the bottom of Sariel's face. A blue fog comes from the bottom of the picture.

The 26th is upon us! Just for a taste, here are the first two pages of Our Home; Eternal chapter 1. (Technically 3 pages? lol) #webcomic #indiecomic #teaser #globalcomix #art #digitalart #comicart #artsky #comicsky

A comic page with three panels.

Panel 1: A small blonde boy is looking out of a window. He is lounging, but not relaxed.
Narration: And yet, I feel nothing. My boy may be free now, but there is this numbness that refuses to clear up and go away.

Panel 2: A closer look at the boy. He is trembling.

Panel 3: He is clutching his head, which is angled down. His face is revealed. There is a massive scar on his cheek.
Narration: Just like the numbness, these memories refuse to go away. I'M SORRY!

Styx Brooks, except his colors are all wrong. He also has no scars and no stone. Most egregious of all, he is smiling!

Kimiko's fox form, but her colors are wrong. She is glitching in ways that are basically clipping into herself. Everything is simply....off about her.

Dextive Studios (Comic QnA in Pinned) @dextivebusiness.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

The bag actually came with a transparent pocket, and all I did was make two backings for it, so the only thing being charged are the foam-based backings. Breaking down the price, it is $15 per backing. 0$ for the bag itself. This is not the case for every bag, as most of the bags I did modify.

It's a wide shot. Though, it's not necessarily how close a subject is to the camera that makes a piece challenging, as the other panel that I used a reference too for was a close-up. Both panels feature a dynamic angle with foreshortening and looking down at the focal point.
