Apparently posting cute anime girls is the key to getting a banger post so here's your occasional reminder to watch Nurse Witch Komugi.

I don't think I've ever seen that many reefer containers at once before. Also, all the yard power over at Conrail this week is old high hood GP38's

First time flying first class (it's not super fancy on a 717-200 apparently 😂) We're back in Detroit, and I could actually see my house from the plane on our final decent, so that was pretty neat.

More shots from my adventure to Myrtle Beach.

Swapped out as a driver with my mom in Cleveland and slept through most of Ohio. The drive through Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia was amazing. Ended up staying in Luray and we're heading the rest of the way to Myrtle Beach this morning. Luray Caverns is absolutely amazing btw.

Going on a mini vacation to drop off a PC I built for my aunt in Myrtle Beach Driving this toaster down there from Detroit after work tonight and flying back, I wanna run down US 340 along the Shenandoah on the way down, but I need to see how much time I've got.

Moving when you're prepared for it and have logistics in place is already fucking awful, I can't imagine doing it on short notice. Glad to see you're getting through it and doing better now, hopefully things keep moving forward for you

Life has come full circle, I'm once again parking a P body in my parents back yard, 21 years after my first Sundance.

Something I've noticed about TTX intermodal cars since I joined the railroad. Cars starting with 888, 889, and 890 are renumbered Pacer Stacktrain cars and cars that start with 893, 894, and 895 are renumbered BNSF cars. 400, 500, 600, and 700 series cars are built for TTX.

I'm stoked it's finally cooling off around here, but now I really need to get the Caddy on the road before the salt flies 😂

Is Grand Live actually better than Unity Cup, or does the GL RNG just hate me? I struggle to hit anything higher than S+ in GL but consistently hit SS-UG in Unity and I've never gotten anything higher than an SS from Grand Live.

Welp, found out why my trains are late. Rail got knocked out of gauge shoving back around a tight corner right in front of the busiest junction in my local network with a car sideways across 6 tracks with both sets of trucks deleted. Nothing's moving for awhile over here.

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Second time seeing these intermodal dumpsters here. Of course they're running the trash train on the hottest day of the week too so it smells fantastic on the east side of the yard today 😂

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I feel that, especially with how expensive everything is right now, even the secondhand market is rough if something goes wrong.

I've been building in full tower cases for like 20 years now, it's always fun having to tilt a 70+ lb PC around trying to get a screw to roll out of wherever it managed to vanish too 😂

For how few of these they made it's wild seeing one as a sign for a junkyard.

I've worked for the railroad for 3 years now and just learned today that LOG is an acronym for Left On Ground for the containers that don't make it on the train.

Someone knocked a chunk of the exhaust off my yard truck at work since the last time I used it and it sounds fucking great. It's still slow AF tho 🤣

Man I kinda miss streaming but it's tough working the overnight shift on the weekends. Would anyone be interested in watching me stream Snowrunner Monday to Wednesday at like 6pm?

I'll never get the appeal of small keyboards, I want a full size with a number pad and extra hotkeys. Some.of y'all never played a caster in an MMO and it shows 😂

There's definitely nostalgia at play for me since these are the trains I grew up watching GTW blue and red and CSX YN2 are my favorite freight liveries, but the new CPKC scheme looks pretty good and BNSF has had some gems over the years.

010

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Is there anything that doesn't look good in GTW Blue and red?

One of my favorite odd features of the Dodge Shadow and Plymouth Sundance is that the cupholder perfectly fits a 2 liter.

I love that most Vtuber and Artist plushies are pre orders because my ADHD brain forgets I bought them and I get surprised by an adorable plushie a few months later. That said, I probably shouldn't leave Yomi alone in my car with access to tools and flammable liquids...

010

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I got mine at launch in the states, but seriously, 2001 feels like it was maybe 5-10 years ago, not 25

Blew the dust and cat fur out of the rig after work tonight. I'm so used to sitting next to it all the time I sometimes forget how how fucking magnificent she looks, especially after a fresh clean.

I've got a couple great independently owned retro game stores me, plus 34 years of collecting games. I really miss being able to find boxes of old games at garage sales for dirt cheap tho.

020

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I feel like I'm probably just done with new consoles at this point I've still got everything from the Switch back to the Atari and I'll keep playing my old games on old hardware but new games are all gonna be on PC for me Sony & MS are racing to the bottom and Nintendo is overpriced nostalgia bait

020

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

The exact same 64gb DDR4 kit I bought in 2023 for $140 is currently selling for $890, this isn't Valve's fault, it's the shitty AI bros

110

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Honestly Steam and Nintendo should be swapped here. I've bought every Nintendo console since the N64 at launch and I'm not getting a Switch 2. If I want overpriced nostalgia, I'll play it on original hardware on my CRT's

I will say, I really like this Western Maryland livery tho

000

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Couple more shots of 1852 in slightly better lighting. Today was a carnival (as per usual) so I didn't get out in the yard until around 7pm tonight.

131

Dex 🩷💛🩵 @dexkunfails.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Only problem with working the overnight shift is the lighting is trash by the time something interesting rolls in. Anyway, here's some scuffed low light shots of CSXT 1852, the Western Maryland heritage unit. I'll try and get some better shots in the morning if she's still in the yard.
