it's such a beautiful day out. i finished my book upstairs at the little coffee place i like while half-listening to a nice group of friends talking and joking as two of the four played chess. seeing the variance in people's handwriting makes me smile, especially if they spell my name right

got one of these giant gummy snakes last christmas. not eating it sooner was a mistake. once flexible, it has become dry and rigid, enough that i snapped its head off with a quick bend. the flavor is "biting blue raspberry." not unpleasant but not good either. a real jaw workout. a flavored chew toy

finished my joint as the dock swayed with the waves below me. so many boats. there was a boat named Elise. lots of jet skis and even people getting towed by a speedboat. bright and sunny but not too hot. the waterfront flowers looked great. there was a barbie-pink go kart on the highway

when we lived in the middle of nowhere there was a beautiful mimosa tree in the furthest corner of our backyard outside the fence. my parents warned me of snakes in the tall grass but i'd walk thru it anyway and climb the tree just to sit and hopefully watch butterflies enjoying the flowers
