Not personally but I have considered it for interrail ideas. I have however stayed in a similar place in Allingaabro Denmark (just east of Randers) where you could spend the night in an old DSB couchette car for just 60kr (8 euros) per night. Last time I stayed there was in 2023 during a storm.

Damn a Lint 41. Those are the backbone of regional and local traffic throughout much of Denmark. Though the ones here have much worse seats. Even as they get used on 2 hour 40 minute long routes.

Wait sorry not even 11 hours ITS 13?!?! Like my homeland's state railways, DSB, are getting Alstom Coradia Streams too, but the seats on those, while not perfect and too narrow, still look miles better! And at least journeys between our largest cities wont take over 3½ hours once upgrades are done.

Still Snälltåget did recently get all their ex-Locomore Bmz carriages certified for use through Denmark, since those care are now being deployed on the Hamburg-Stockholm services. So something must be going the right way. Besides the main requirement is just an emergency brake override mechanism.

I'm sorry to vent but I need to get this off my chest in a thread. My grandma is almost dying. And the chronically underfunded and incompetently run Nordsjællands hospital is only making it worse. My grandma's condition has actively been deteriorating throughout her time at the hospital. #dkpol

Om sommeren i hvertfald. Er selv lidt bekendt med billige elbiler med den slags rækkevidde. Min arbejdsgiver har en helt masse Renault 5'ere (Evolution, 40kWh) som firmabiler. Fine biler men 190.000 er ret dyrt for det. Plus så er bagsædepladsen værre end min Picanto, og udsynet lidt indskrænket.

And here's just a bunch of video clips I also recorded today, mostly from my bike. Odense just feels great to bike in! Like this is from "Åstien", the almost entirely segregated bike route along the local river! Aside from the gravel this is a gold standard for a bike route! #Urbanism

And even after sunset it is pleasant, lively, and safe feeling, all without the city ever feeling rushing or hustling! Even the places that prioritize cars a bit much have so little car traffic that you don't feel unsafe as a cyclist, sharing the space with the cars!

And it gets even nicer in the evenings, enhanced by the rumble of the trams once in a while, alongside the cozy streets and the plentiful pleasant and well kept parks! Of course with good bike paths throughout. Around 22% of all trips in the municipality are by bike, 2nd highest in Denmark!

Like this place has more greenery than any other danish city, fantastic bike infrastructure with vast networks of segregated safe paths and actual well designed bicycle priority streets, based on best Dutch principles, AND well designed.local streets that prioritize pedestrians over cars

Can I just say, Odense is a severely underrated city! This place is lovely, lively, beautiful, and has fantastic urbanism! AND It's the most affordable city in Denmark too!! Like the property prices here are half that of the other 3 cities! People are sleeping on this place! #Urbanism #dkpol 🧵

Yeah its insane! A standard 40ft Gillig electric costs 988.000 USD last I checked. Meanwhile the most popular electric bus in my home country of Denmark, the super reliable Yutong E12, costs just 502.000 USD per bus. AND theyre in a price war vs BYD too.

I need to zoom out to at least 67% for it to be managable, but then the text and links become too small. And the whole page is still extremely buggy, where my cursor just have to hover over one thing and the whole page shits itself with errors.

Bruh the new Steam workshop layout is awful. Everything is WAY too spaced out to be useful, key functions are hard to access, and the whole thing is extremely buggy. Nothing flows well, and it makes browsing assets and mods extremely cumbersome Valve, you messed up big time.

To any artists struggling to seaweed fine clean, angular buildings Just draw old cottages and farm houses instead. Those are often very crooked. (Went to the Danish open air countryside museum today and took these pictures there)
