What was even the point of this whole experiment by Valve? You have to have an account in good standing to even buy one, so its garunteed to be going to people who already are super deep in the Steam ecosystem. Rn Its just a unmodifiable low-end mini PC being sold at a mid-tier prebuilt price.

Literally every single game console manufacturer sells at a slight loss with the expectation that software sales will make up the difference. Thats not asking for charity, it's asking for the bear minimum industry standard.

A fortnite collab takes about 6-18 months to develop and there's probably ages of paperwork behind the scenes on top of that. These collabs likely weren't even in the game when the TADC crossover was agreed on. Fortnite is literally one of the most indie-friendly platforms on the mainstream rn.
