Here's the kittens learning to hunt and play, with special instructor Marshmallow (one of our earlier rescues). He's very sweet with thrm. Another of our rescues, Cassie, acts as a second mother to them. She's spayed, never had kittens...but loves nothing more than mothering kittens. #Kittenrescue

Update on the kittens. They're doing well, just turned 2 months yesterday. Sadly, we lost Emma (the Tuxedo girl under the hammock in the last photo). Being broken up about it is why I haven't posted them in a while. The other three, Stripe, Bianca, and Void (name pending) are all great, however.

The babies all came out to tell me good morning. We've got the Void and Miss Mustache in the printing enclosure they took over (I fully detoxed it), and Stripe with his mostly white sister down in their playpen. House smashed in, as usual. We're still looking for names for the three girls.

Two kittens, one void and one tuxedo with a cute little mustache are chilling in a waterproof enclosure, having just woken up.

We found Stripe! From what we've gathered, an adult male came by and sprayed and Stripe tried to chase him off, but got lost abd scared and hid in the hedge and then couldn't get free.

We lost the male kitten last night, we think to a bird. I desperately wish we had better indoors spaces for them, but we're doing our best with what we have. I called him Stripe because his white stripe and pugnacious attitude. 36 days. Just long enough to fill out hearts, and break them.

The tuxedo with the white strip is the only male. He's a little smaller than his siblings, but very fierce. He watches us carefully to ensure we're not threatening his sisters. Here he is walking and hopping around with his mohawk up, on the look out for any possible danger!

The kittens, still unnamed, are now 29 days old. They're easily hopping in and out of their little house, and are getting interested in the litter box and the food (the food is for 1+ month kittens). We're still looking for a better spot for them, but not a lot of options. Three girls, one boy.

I voted for Harris, and worked to get other people to, as well. It was a bad campaign hampered by Biden refusing to bow out until late. Cozying up to mythical Moderate Republicans didn't help and running to the right of Reagan on immigration didn't help. Sorry to be the one to tell you!

Managed to get all but one of the cats in our unofficial little sanctuary in one photo. All have been desexed over the last two years, and we've seen the number of kittens in the area drop from ~ two dozen in 2021 to 2 this year. It's a lot of work, and they often drive me crazy, but I love them.

Nine cats are pictured, lounging, eating, and walking in a tiled entryway. There's three gray tabbies (Flash, Octavia, and Tony Wobbles who has cerebellar hypoplasia), two tuxedo (Gabriella and Enrique), one gray and white (Marshmallow, son of Gabby and brother of Ricky), two tabbyco (Isabelle and Cassandra), and one calico (Adelaide the Hellbeast).

That's how my Cassie girl is. She's the calico being sat on by our most recent rescue, who she immediately adopted as her own.

Aww, I grabbed this little guy yesterday as he was running back and forth across a busy street. He was very scared, hungry, thirsty, and lost, but he's sleeping off his stressful day.

We adopted our, now passed, boy Morpheus after he got dumped at a vet with a head injury from a fall. He was only 4 months old at the time. Fell in love with us instantly, and vice versa. He had a missing bottom fang from the ordeal.
